Re: PGA 2k21 Created Course Thread
If I could give a recommendation on a couple of RCR’s.
Pine Ridge CC ( Manitoba course) as well as Clear Lake Mb.
These two courses are “similar” to the look and feel of your Bricks &Ivy.
Your planting by the way was fantastic!
Currently playing your Abbey course with two of my brothers for cash lol
Well done again!Comment

I also have another course that's just been published. This is a bit different than the usual...it's for a backyard course design contest, which required placing 18 holes within a 500 yd. by 500 yd. square.
It's called "The Land @ Stosh's Lodge".
It has 9 par-3s and 9 par-4s, and is a par-63, 4,800-yard layout. It's set on the property of a Northwoods hunting and fishing lodge. It's definitely made more for fun, but still offers some interesting design features and some challenging greens. Here are a few pictures:

Well, gang...this might be my last course build for PGA 2K21. It's for a TGC Tours design contest called National Treasure, where designers were each given a U.S. state to build a course in. I was given South Carolina!
My course is called "The Loggerhead", and takes inspiration from The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, as well as some from Harbour Town Golf Links. Other inspiration came from real-life South Carolina landmarks, like the Morris Island Lighthouse and Boneyard Beach.
The course is 7,420 yards from the tips, and plays firm and fast to a par of 71. I recommend playing the course with at least a medium wind for the true Sea Island golf experience!

Would like to play this one with you.
I played Glory Hole Falls last night and I know it wasn’t yours, but wow!… what a gorgeous track!
Looks like this contest is going to have some amazing courses and a tough decision to pick a winner!

Do you happen to play on the PS4 or 5?

And yeah...the early publishes for this contest are unreal. Broken Hatchet is a really nice one, as is the Koochee Club. The crazy thing is that there are still 28 days for almost 50 more courses to be published for it!!!Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 06-02-2022, 03:55 PM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

It's a wonderful course that captures so much of the essence of the southeast part of our state. I played Harbor Town back in the early 80's, which was really great, but The Loggerhead looks more like Kiawah, although it's got more of its own distinctive quality. This is one of your best works though.... what a note to end your 2K21 design career with!Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Steven, I played The Loggerhead on Sunday and to give you an idea of the impression it made on me, as the admin for the Reddit XBox PGA TOUR 2K21 Society, I made it the venue for this week's Society event. That will probably net you about 500 plays, as we average 120 to 125 players a week.

Hi all!
I know it's been a while, but I am still plugging away at creating new courses in PGA Tour 2K21. My newest release, just out a couple days ago, is called "Lothmoor Abbey". Set on the rolling property of an old monastery, Lothmoor Abbey offers a fun and exciting round for golfers of all skill levels. This par-72 layout stretches to just under 7,000 yards from the tips.
Book your tee time today!

Re: PGA 2k21 Created Course Thread
I have a question on drop zones. Can you place correct drop zones on holes with water or will the game just over ride them? I have seen some courses where the drop zones are correct and seem to have been placed by the course creator.Comment

Drop zones are not set by the designer.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Re: PGA 2k21 Created Course Thread
So if you were to place a tee sized patch of fairway in the area where a ball would logically be dropped the game would not recognize it? Odd this hasn't been addressed after all these years.Comment

Re: PGA 2k21 Created Course Thread
Correct...you can kind of get drop zones to work, but you have to game the system. I have a drop zone area on Hole 9 of The Bricks & Ivy Club, but it only works if the player hits the ball over the water in the right spot.Orbis Non SuficitComment
