PGA 2k1 Tempo Question
I miss tempo all over the place and I'm not sure why. I have tried various strategies in the calibration part, but it doesn't seem to help. Do you try to back slowly then ramb the stick forward? Try to use the same tempo back and forth? I tried a slow steady back and forth in calibration and when it was done i was constantly hitting very slow. I don't mind something being hard, but i don't see much consistency in the swing. I can't fix something when I'm not sure what's wrong to start with. Shots i thought felt good turned out slow or very slow and other shots that i Felt were actually slow came out fast. My swing plane is crooked, but that is correctable and i can tell when that is off but the tempo has me baffled.Tags: None -

Re: PGA 2k1 Tempo Question
I think the problem is the meter setup... the calibration is done with driver, where you take big, full swings. Most of the putts I’ve had you have to hit 35 pct, and it’s messing tempo up.Comment

Re: PGA 2k1 Tempo Question
Putt tempo is about the only tempo I dont struggle with. I seem to have to swing faster for chips, but then sometimes it flies way past the hole even in like 65% rough.Comment

Re: PGA 2k1 Tempo Question
For putting I just go REALLY slow back and forth. Usually I get w/ in 3-4 feet of the hole even on long putts. Default distances for putts also seem a bit strong especially for uphill / downhill putts. Usually I pull the marker in a bit.
I am doing somewhat better on normal swings. The key for me is a slower takeaway then i push it forward pretty fast. I did have a "very slow" when I rammed the stick forward once though. I was playing for fast or even very fast because there was water to the right. I have no idea how that swing turned to very slow. For the official society event I finished at -2. I was going along well the first round then I had 3 bogeys in a row. Second round was much more inconsistent. I was making pars, but very few birdies and I finished at +1 for that round.Comment

Re: PGA 2k1 Tempo Question
which portion of your swing is it judging for the fast/slow portion? Is it the temp of the backswing or forward swing, or is it the transition between the two motions? If I can figure that part out, my game will be pretty slick as putting is not an issue for me at all.Comment

Re: PGA 2k1 Tempo Question
I was using a steelseries controller the analogs are a bit stiffer and was having issues. i switched to a ps4 controller and it seems to be a little more consistent.Comment
