i dnt understand because I can move my stick barely at al and hold it there and he makes a full backswing.

downswing yes needs to follow through with speed though like a real swing

If I don’t slam my stick back on my PS4 or my sons, it only starts to go back and then resets. However if I slam it back hard it works, but then it really screws up your down swing. Freak sucks, same for putting.

Keep at it, it will come to you.
Spend time on the range and putting greens as well.
This game requires practise. Lots of practise.
But it will come to you.
Also, you may need to reset your controller.

          Hmm strange

On xbox controller I'm not kidding, I can barely push back on it and he takes a full backswing

Or move gently all the way back. Works either way. Unless it works differently in PS4?

I know this was a problem with 19 but I haven’t experienced it in 2K21. Try plugging in your controller and changing it to USB connection instead of Bluetooth. That’s what fixed it for me in 19.

Apparently this was a known issue on PS4 controllers and got fixed today automatically on the back end...

I'll be curious to read the reactions of the PS4 users to this update. I have a problem getting the golfer to complete the downswing on my XBox One X. I find that I have to have a long, sweeping movement of the thumbstick, both backwards and forwards, all the way through the swing, applying uniform pressure throughout the swing to get one to execute.

I think part of what we're seeing with this swing resetting business is the measures HB Studios undertook to counter the "flick" swing of TGC 2019. With the flick swing, you could make an abbreviated effort on the downswing by "flicking" the stick forward and letting it go. This would give you the power you needed, but would give you a much better chance of staying on the swing path because your thumb wasn't along for the ride for more than a third of the downswing or so.

This new swing is making you keep your thumb on the stick and applying pressure to so the interface can know that a human is still driving its motion through to completion. I guess I was guilty of coming off the stick just prior to the swing finish in 2019 (but certainly not a flick type short) and now I'm having trouble completing swings like 2K21 wants them completed because of my habit with it.

Great explanation. This is my experience too. Using master clubs because that is what TGC TOURS is using for their challenge circut flight and getting used to that swing pattern is proving quite difficult. I either get fast or slow swings but if there is any water on those holes it goes in every time usually ending up in a double or triple bogey. In my last round I shot 4 birdies without getting one perfect perfect swing but i had one quad and one triple bogey and a few regular bogeys so I ended up shooting +6 which is not too bad. If I can figure out the tempo I will be golden. More practice I guess. Any tips would be appreciated.
