The more I play this the more I hate it. TGC was 100 times more realistic. 100% power even on 5 footers?? Makes no sense. Very sterile no feel. Graphics are best part of whole game.

What system are you playing on? And what method. I play Masters on a PC and you don't need to his 100% for short putts. If you hit 100% the ball would go very far, 114 feet at least.

I think people equate realistic with easy, when in fact it's the opposite.

Not really, not for me anyway. The few hours I spent on the game, putting was more arcade than anything. It was so far from my real life putting stroke, no feel at all. The putting stroke in this game reminded me of Tournament difficulty in TW13. It was just harder, nothing close to a real life putting stroke.

Can be hard but every time I miss I know what I did wrong. I don't get why people hate this version of putting. Sure there are still some problems with the game but this year is head and shoulders above all the others and I was prepared to be sorely disappointed with this. Practice.

Actually the most realistic putting is master difficulty with meter off. But then the swing is 100 times harder ugh.

I just talking about pro swing difficulty but it has the stupid putt meter on. I wish I could permanently just turn that off, regardless of society settings

The way they have stuff on automatically is the main reason I don't play much online. As you say-- and it's the same for me-- showing the putting meter is very distracting. The distance thing also is distracting. I just use elevation up or down, which I see on shots. But I only use the general area when spotting a shot and where it might land.

I do like percentages on putts. That gives me the feel I'm looking for when putting.

So true.

People just want to believe that the game is an "amaze-balls accurate real life golf simulation".

It's just a video game - like basically all of them.

It has its weird quirks and things like every iteration of most every video game interpretation of golf.

I've said this somewhere else, but just try putting wtihout any aids on - just to get used to the feel; then turn it back on.

I think the putting is all about your downswing. if you flick it, it'll go pretty hard, if you drive it down, it'll be more controlled.

The same concepts used IRL apply though. Aim for some spot between you and the hole, and make sure the ball rolls over it. Sometimes it'll go in, sometimes it won't.

Great looking stroke you've got going for you Matt10! I'm working on getting that kind of pacing, but for some reason, I have a tendency to push putts in the 5 to 15 foot range. I would have missed the putt in your video a foot to the right.

Oh, believe me, man I was doing the same thing. I'm a right stick user, so just reverse this if using lefty. What I do is very slightly move the stick in (so, to the left for me as a righty), then once it's done, move the putterhead back and then push forward. It's a straight putt each time. The issue that I run into though is sometimes pulling it on the downswing.
