PGA Tour 2k21 myplayer not stored on server?

JUst bought this on Steam for my Windows workstation and laptop. I installed on my workstation and custom created a player and played 2 rounds. Saved. I installed the game on my laptop and fired it up and it is treating me as if I have to custom create myplayer again. It does however show my profile and my accumulated credits. Is this normal? I would have expected my character to follow with my profile from machine to machine like most games. Does anyone know if this how it works or not? Thanks.

I had to install the game on my son's PC after my PC went belly-up for a day, just to set up my Society's tournament for that day. I did notice that it was going to make me create my player all over again from scratch. I didn't really need to player to do what I set out to do, but it does confirm your findings. I would have thought it would have followed your profile to whatever machine you were playing it on, as long as it was the same platform.

It's weird that it has my players stats and earning but doesn't seem to recognize his appearance and such. I can live with that but it really stinks that it would make you rebuy clothing and accessories again....I know it's not real money but still you have to earn it twice?

Okay. I recreated him using settings as close to my other computer and when I went to add clothing I had already purchased it was available and unlocked so I didn't have to spend 2x....so it's not ideal but is a little weird. I haven't played NBA2k20 on multiple machines but I assume your myplayer creation is standard on the server and not unique to each machine. I know on Madden 21 the player I created is there on each of my computers from the cloud save. Oh well. Thanks.
