Yes, PGA Tour 2K21 and The Golf Club have solid gameplay and a basically unlimited number of courses to play. But there are some issues with that, too.
For example, certain courses in PGA 2K21 are censored and cannot be searched, like certain Augusta clones and St Andrews replicas. Also, 2K is so devoted to the servers, that if the game is not connected online, you cannot play any of the created courses, play career mode, or publish any new course. It's way too server dependent.
Also, PGA 2K21 has certain arcade elements, too - 2K21 offers putt preview, ball trails, as well as oversized hats, putters that look like food and flamingos, etc.
Gameplay wise, 2K and the developers at HB decided that the gameplay in 2K21 needed to be changed 9 months after release. So the way the game played for almost a full year wasn't apparently good enough or something...
I know EA gets labeled as "arcade" all the time, and in some cases it's valid. But it's not like the other games out there are just such in-depth simulations that have no arcade elements in them whatsoever. Not to mention the fact that the Golf Club/2K golf games have issues, bugs, glitches, etc. that never get fixed.
