Seems the last patch also removed Callaway sponsor reward clubs...







There used to be drivers, irons, etc. there along with that putter. I think they were called Callaway Sub-Zero drivers/woods and Pro irons. Now they've up and disappeared. And if you have them in your bag, and decided to remove or replace them, they go completely missing from your equipment options.



Have never seen that before...and they aren't even in the DLC Callaway pack, so you can't even buy them. They're just gone.

That’s really odd, so is the game more of a live service? Nothing permanent?

The whole game is essentially server dependent, save for creating courses (you do need to be online to publish them) and playing local rounds at the official courses. everything else requires an "always online" connection - even career mode.

That’s one thing I HATE about it. REALLY hope EA doesn’t go this route.

The proper way to swing on this game eludes me. The tactile difference between "fast" and "slow" still confuses me, and it seems almost to be a moving target. Since I can really only reliably swing "fast" or "very fast", I suppose it makes sense to just aim way-Right and play the draw/hook. Which, I guess is kind of like real golf - pick your miss and play it. But as has been noted so many times in the past re: this game, the entire mechanism of "fast = hook" and "slow = slice" doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Sounds like you need to go to the range and do the calibration. This way your Fast should become closer to Perfect.

No need to do that since the course offerings will be very limited compared to 2k. You have more than enough room for whatever they will produce.

Rory has what? 15 courses total? I believe on my ps4 it comes in at round 45 GB.

Thing is these companies LOVE to make you connect to play anything. In Madden, just to play the career mode(Face of franchise) you HAVE to be connected. I try to stay away from games that require online as much as I can.

Yep, you nailed it. I hit the range for a while and it definitely helped me calibrate my swing. I actually really like that aspect of the game. The swing mechanism is the most important part of any golf game, so I think it's cool that they put a lot of time and effort into that aspect. Obviously there are a lot of issues and opinions with the implementation of the mechanism and how it translates into the game results, but I like that it's relatively complex (vs just pull stick back then jam it forward as fast as possible).

An HB dev posted on the HB forums that this is actually a known bug, and has been fixed. But there is no timeline for the fix to go live...
