It's not balancing issues with the scoreboard. It's that the scoreboard literally doesn't work in an otherwise good game. The only true score it can keep is yours. I like the game otherwise, but that is an absolute game killer. Could you imagine a game like the show coming out where most people enjoy the gameplay, but it can't accurately keep track of your opponents score so it makes one up at the end of the game?

It is a bit frustrating and surprising that not one single article from OS (or really any news source, for that matter) has mentioned anything about the leaderboard glitches/randomization as far as I can tell. I mean, it's well documented that it happens, and even 2K Support is aware of the problem. But yet, more articles come out here with zero mention of how immersion-breaking and disappointing the career mode issues are in this game.

Totally agree with both above statements. I still love the game and play 15-20 rounds a week, mostly in career mode...and gawd is it annoying the randomization of the leaderboards. I'll be a stroke or 2 ahead or behind going into the final 3, maybe Cantlay or Reed is ahead of me be a stroke or two...I'll catch them going into the 18th, only to find that magically JT is suddenly one stroke ahead of me when he hasn't been on the top tier of the leaderboard the entire round. PGA Career mode is lacking in a lot of other areas, but this is the most frustrating thing, because it kills the one aspect of Career Mode that they actually tried to implement.

Today I had something happen that I've never seen in 300-400 rounds. I holed the longest shot of my entire "career", longer than the handful of Aces that I've had in the past. 200+ yard shot that hit the green, and rolled in. I chose to look at the replay instead of skipping it like I usually do...and the replay showed the ball bouncing well right of the pin and landing 12 feet away lol. It gave me credit for the Eagle but I've never seen the replay screw up like that.

Gosh I can't wait for the EA and next 2k game. They have to be so much better, and 2k21 is pretty damn good in a lot of ways. And very lacking in some very important ways as well.

Career is broken the handicap system makes absolutely makes no sense but for pick up and play the game is fine if you are into that.

Re: PGA Tour 2K21 Beginner's Guide

I love it when I'm in a Korn Ferry Tour event, and for some reason Justin Thomas and Bryson Dechambeau are playing the event (slumming for laughs, I guess? happened to be in town anyway?), and kicking my rear end on the first day of the tournament of course. Then, out of nowhere, "rJustin Thomas" and "rBryson Dechambeau" show up on the leaderboard....are they the evil twins of PGA Tour stars?

And then I get to day 2, and apparently every PGA Tour pro that was mysteriously playing a Korn Ferry event has withdrawn from the tournament completely (despite leading on day 1), and the leaderboard is now entirely replaced with a new set of made-up names.

This happens every other Korn Ferry event.
