Corrected Post: Please help, PGA Tour 2k21, new copy of disc, lost all MyPlayer saves

My apologies, I didn't list what game I was talking about in the first post. I bought a new PGA Tour 2k21 disc because the old one was failing after so many hours of playing it. The new disc shows up as a 2nd instance of 2k21 in the PS Menu. It loads fine but doesn't have any of the MyPlayer or Career Mode data. It's starting me from scratch as a new player. I still have all of the PS4 data showing up, like currency, trophies, etc.

I've backed up my old game saves data to a USB stick, but I can't figure out how to move or transfer them onto the PS4 so that the new disc will see the old game save data.

Any ideas? My old disc is basically shot. Can't stand the thought of losing over a years worth of game saves and staring all over!

It just doesn't make sense... we had the regular TW14 for the longest time, and we didn't lose anything when we inserted the Historic Edition.

Ya it surprised me too. I sent a tech support ticket to HB and was very surprised that they answered within 2 hours. They told me to delete both copies of the game, reinstall with the new disc, copy my backed up game save files, and it should work. It didn't. I gave up and just went through the motions of creating a new MyPlayer and I'm back to normal again. I took the opportunity to buy a new driver and bought a Fedora lol.

I still love this game and play it 20 times a week at least, but I can't wait for what's coming in the Spring from EA. Have to think it's going to be so much better than this one. The one thing I've always hated about EA golf games is how hazy, and dark, the game looks. Even back in TW days, up to the Rory game...the graphics are decent but the overall look of every course is very dark, dim, and hazy looking. I love the "bloom" effect in 2k21, where it goes from cloudy to blinding sun. 2k21 has a lot of room to improve the overall graphics of the game for sure, but I do love how sunny and bright every course is. It's like a mini vacation to a warm, sunny course every time I play it.

I disagree, Rory finally broke that trend of the dark color palette and was very vibrant in my opinion. Looking forward to pga 22!

Oh I am definitely looking forward to the EA game.

I have Rory, but it was so bad I only played a couple of rounds on it. Maybe the two that I played looked really milky, hazy, dark, etc. I hope EA gets that right. Love those bright, sun drenched courses in 2k21 with the light shimmering off the water, sun spots, etc. Very immersive.
