That would be excellent, but it has as good of a chance of happening as ncaa 14 has getting ported to ps5.

It sure is quiet out there about this game. I was really hoping for it to come out around the Players Championship leading into The Masters but all the silence is making me think this isn't happening in 2022. Seems like for marketing purposes this is the type of game you'd want released at the beginning of the season and not the summer time when people are outside. There's a reason why The Show comes out when it does and not at the All Star break. Sorry, just venting my frustration.

I think those guessing "Masters 2023" are probably right (sadly)

I assume we'll finally get to see it and learn a bit about it at the upcoming Masters, but then will have the frustration of waiting another full year for it.

I hope that's all wrong and it still comes this Summer or Fall at the latest.
Whole situation is bumming me out -- Am really looking forward to this

As others here have said before, I think it's all down to the lack of PS5s on the market. Why would they want to release a next-gen game when it looks like the shortage is going to continue all the way through this year. You still can't buy one at retail. I got lucky and got one from an invite from Sony Direct a few months back, but I still read up on restocks and the outlook for them is not good for the first half of this year.

I'm thinking it will be a Spring 23 release. I'm just hoping in the meantime 2k releases the next version this year, assuming it will be backwards compatible. I'd be thrilled with that, I love the game and still play 20 rounds a week, but damn am I looking forward to what EA has coming. It sucks to wait like this.

Ya, I got lucky. One in a million odds. I was signed up for PS+, and there was a signup for Plus members. I got an email after only about 6 weeks of signing up. It got me in the queue, I picked the disc version, and it worked. 7 Minutes later they were sold out again.

The only thing I get out of having the PS5 vs 4 is I get to play 2k21 on 60fps, which is a huge difference, but still those old looking graphics just scroll more smoothly now lol.

I can't wait for either game. I want them yesterday.

It's so disappointing to not have seen or heard anything else of EA Sports PGA TOUR at this point. I honestly thought we'd be seeing this game on the market this Summer, and certainly seeing screen shots and press releases about it by February. I do realize however that developers face more obstacles in today's pandemic hindered environment. I hope this extra time is going to give them more of an opportunity to refine a swing interface that requires a more multi-dimensional and nuanced input from the user.

I'm also hoping they'll build on what I believe they called "connected tournaments", as introduced in TW 14. It added a lot of atmosphere to the 'country club' tournaments to be playing online, yet having the option to see the shot tracers of everyone else on the course in real time. I also liked how if you were playing with ghost players, you could see the other players finish out the hole in full animation, one you had holed out. It added so much presence and life to the event.

Finally, I'm hoping they'll add some camera production options to this forthcoming title. I didn't much care for the camera choices in Rory Mcilroy PGA TOUR. I'd like to see them go back to something like what they called "True-Aim' presentation, like they did in TW 13, only in this one give the user an option to switch to a downrange, reverse angle camera view at the player's discretion. PGA TOUR 2K21 does something like this now, but the reverse angle view is more angled off to the side than I'd prefer. I think the PC version of TW08 had something more like I'm referring to, calling it a "snap view".

And EA Sports, let me remind you of another missing feature in previous golf games... golf isn't played in a vacuum. In tournaments and even casual play, there are usually other golfers playing elsewhere on the course. We don't see them in any of yours (or anybody else's) previous golf games. I'd love to see a group of players on an adjacent fairway, hitting their approach shots, watching others in their group play their shots, and even walking off the green after finishing out on the green in front of me. This would add a ton of realism, IMO. I know it wouldn't be for everyone, but it would be a nice option to have.

I don't know where I got the notion from, but up until a month ago, I thought the new NCAA football game from EA was coming out this season. That really popped my balloon when I found out otherwise

Caddies please everywhere.

I would go for that during tournament play for sure. It'd have to be an option because I know a lot of folks complained about the caddies in TW12, but they were like superimposed on the screen during club selection, and never felt like they were really there.

I didn't like the caddie in 12. I just want to see caddies and other players standing around the tee box.
