This is for PGA Tour 2K GOLF:

My wife and I don't play many games together but she has always loved golf. I was really disappointed to read that 2K still will not allow us to play against one another using our created golfers.

This is really beyond the pale, that they still can't figure this out.

I have decided that I will rent the game and not purchase it.

I am not posting this to look for people to convince me to buy it or anything, and I still may if I see it on sale, but I have to say, it is beyond ridiculous that in 2022 a company such as 2K has chosen to disregard this.

I will be buying EA's game assuming that we can do this.

Can any of you imagine how people would attack EA if you couldn't play Madden together on the couch using but certain teams?

I am not sure where you are going with this one. Can users play on the same couch with two user created teams in madden? No, they can use the teams, see golfers, that are already in the game. My guess is that there is not enough demand for such a feature. Often times companies will develop their features using prior game data, and will use industry trends to help establish what to put in their game. This feature obviously did not move the needle.

Also, in this thread, you state that the graphics needs to be improved. However, in the announcement thread you noted that it was an encouraging upgrade from prior versions on the video that was released.

Sounds like you just want to complain.

Yes I did express some hope in that thread but since I have seen more and it looks pretty much the same with a very slight upgrade. Still hoping to be surprised when I rent it but we'll see.

As for the couch play...sorry but it's utterly ridiculous that in 2022 in a golf game you can't play each other with created golfers. The Madden comparison is apples and oranges.

My $69 will be going to EA's game in the spring. I will however rent this to pass the time until that game is released.

EDIT: If you think there's not much of a demand for that feature then you should check out some Facebook ads on the game and read the comments

For the first time in my 12 year relationship with my wife she told me that YES you will be buying that golf game, LOL.

So despite my issues I don't have to be told twice to do it for the wife. Just thought you guys might find that funny considering how soured I was on the game but yes I will be preordering it anyways.

Still think EA's game will end up being our go to game for playing against each other locally but we shall see, who knows that game may even end up being delayed yet again, like so many other games have been.

It's a valid complaint to be honest. These are simple things.

For me, I have a few issues with guest players and not being able to load multiple created players onto a local/private match in the same console.

1) it's annoying that you can't rename guest players so the leaderboards actually correct and you don't have to guess who is who when the name is too long to fit (can't even believe this simple thing is an issue in this day of age),

2) it's annoying that my wife and I can't play my parents or someone else. When you do a private match, me with a guest player on 1 console and my parents being with a guest too on their console, although you can all play together, each only see the 1 player being the created player not the guests.

I was just reading you can play Head to Head locally with the pro’s so that may be worth a look. You know Lexi out driving Rahm & that sort of thing could be good entertainment 😂

Yeah we plan to do that this Friday actually! I'm sure we will have a lot of fun with it, no doubt, just really disappointed that we can't use our main golfers to play one another.

I'm hopeful that this issue won't be in EA's game that releases in the spring. Until then we will be playing as Pros against one another on occasion but most of the time we will do what we've always done:

1. She will play a course using her created golfer, while I watch Judge Judy, and then tell me her score.
2. I will play the same course using my created golfer, while she then watches Judge Judy and I will see if I can beat her score.

In the end we will both just end up competing against each other's score since 2K's programmers can't figure out something as basic as head to head play using created golfers <?!> LOL
