This is very frustrating and in my opinion not fixed. Me and 3 others have been playing online since 2K21 came out and have not had this kind of problem till now. As a foursome we cannot make it through 18 without someone crashing. Also had one of us drop out and the other 3 keep going until we get to the approach on hole 18, it crashes. Did it last night again, last week before patch.

Thought I would share our experience as it relates to that specific fix. What could they have done to create a problem like this where it did not exist in previously. Online stability in this day in age should be very basic and a priority.

Fixed the hdr brightness on xbx or at least changed it. I can now leave rendering on.

I didn't get it on day one, so I wonder what was broke? I'm playing on PC, and the HDR is terrible. I've tried to adjust the brightness and nothing helps.

It's either too dark or too saturated. The only way I could get it to look right was using reshade. But after closing the game and restarting, it would crash. So reshade doesn't play nice with 2k3.

It's still darker than I'd like but it's considerably better. The brightness scale was raised from 80 to 160 or thereabouts but something under the hood was changed as well. I had to disable hdr rendering before to get rid of the darkness.

I end up turning it off also. It does make the colors look washed out though.

They need to fix instant replays. Often when I get an automated instant replay, the game freezes on the logo of the tournament. I've since turned instant replays off as a result. Also, in casual mode, I can have four players ready to play, but the first one off the tee can't do anything, and I have to exit.

I lost a brilliant chip-in eagle thanks to a screwed-up replay. That's got to be fixed.


Also, why does the ball pass right through the patrons like they're ghosts? Hitting someone on the side of the fairway can sometimes save you from a ball going off into the abyss. TW14 had real patrons and even reactions to getting hit by a ball.

After 2 years of development, even within the limitations of the Unity engine, it just seems like pure laziness or neglect that they didn't even touch the crowds.

Even if they didn't spend the resources to make them look better, the fact that they didn't at least make it to where the ball hits them and affects the outcome is just...lazy. Especially with what you said, that games 10 years ago figured it out. Maddening.

As contradictory as this sounds, I get the odd feeling that the game was rushed.....even through 2 years of development. Two years to develop something doesn't necessarily mean 2 years was spent working on it (ie a student may have 1 month to work on something but actually do it 2 days before it's due). It just doesn't seem polished.

Also, I've been biting my tongue on this because I don't want to come off as insensitive, but if I create a male player, I should be referred to as "he" and not "this person".

Chickification/PC stuff. It's the world we live in now. Lydia Ko won the FedEx cup in my first season for freak's sake. Ugh.

The more me and my 67 year old, old school buddy play (and he still shoots in the low 80s in real golf) the more we are talking about going back to 21. That game played very well, the "upgrades" that they've done are completely uninteresting to us for just playing a solid game of sim golf.
