Just popped into career mode, and played a one-round event at the BMW Championship. I played horribly, but there was a three-way tie for the lead after the round was over.

Brooke Henderson, Gary Woodland, and Zach Johnson all tied in first place at -4. They apparently had a playoff, as the "Playoff" screen came up and Gary Woodland won the event.

So it seems playoffs are still in, at least in some way shape or form. I am still trying to get myself in a playoff to see if users can still be involved.

Just grabbed it from greenmangaming for $35 on sale for PC.. Im playing few rounds on Pro and no matter what i try swing timing is slow to very slow. What the hell is going on.. Its not my pc or remote as they are both new.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Just saw this on another forum when asking about the playoffs in career mode:

"Several rounds of stutter mode yesterday and I got into two playoffs. Still working for me."

So it seems they are still working...gerytal, I wonder if you just got saddled with an unfortunate glitch or bug (and knowing this game, that would not be very surprising at all).

Just grabbed it from greenmangaming for $35 on sale for PC.. Im playing few rounds on Pro and no matter what i try swing timing is slow to very slow. What the hell is going on.. Its not my pc or remote as they are both new.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I did.. Swing tempo feels broke on PC.. Wish i could refund it but bought a code from 3rd party site

I can confirm: sudden death playoffs are still working in Career Mode. Just won the Falcon Open in a playoff against Jaoquin Niemann:

Did you calibrate your swing first?

Call me confused as hell. On the range just now and tried my PS5 controller. every swing was fast or very fast.. Had to swing in slow motion it felt like for perfect tempo... Take the cable out and put xbox remote back on and perfect tempo.. Was it a bug or just placebo effect lol.. Im thinking a bug

Due to the way each controller works, they do play very differently. It's been a topic that has surrounded this game series and its community for years, especially over at TGCTours.

Typically, Xbox users have a more difficult time getting perfects consistently due to the fact that the Xbox controllers have fewer polling points. There are videos and such out there that explain all this.

Of course, this all depends on what swing difficulty you're playing at. At the lower difficulties, perfects are easier for everyone. It's at the levels of Master and higher where the differences really show.

Makes sense. Just restarted the game with xbox controller to make sure. Timing has improved dramatically which leads me to believe it was a bug. Its hard for me to believe that the PS5 controller made something click in my brain for correct tempo

What controller are you using? I'm still green to the game so don't take what I'm saying as gospel but from the research I've done a Playstation controller is recommended. I've also seen videos saying to calibrate your swing and videos saying not to calibrate your swing so who knows.

OK so im wrong lol.
I guess the PS5 remote did make me have a light bulb moment. Lost my swing with xbox controller again. Went to range and figured it out. For me to have good tempo i have to swing to me what feels slower.
I was using to much effort and trying to kill it and it would say very slow everytime. When i swing it smooth and slow i get good timing..
Almost like real golf i guess.......

Now if the ball wasnt so bouncy and the greens were realistic this would be the perfect golf game

Played all day and the game is pretty easy once you get tempo down. Shooting 3 to 7 under on master swing difficulty..

I want to play with most of the aids off but can someone help me. Is there a way to see your lie angle before taking a shot from the fairway or around the greens? Also i dont see any numbers showing elevation.. To be honest elevation doesnt seem to have much of an impact on the shot. Is that just me ?

You should be able to see a lie grid at your feet if you've left that turned on. You just have to press L1/LB for it to show up.

As for elevation, if you've turned off aids like the aim marker, you need to change the local in-game setting to get elevation information from your current position to the pin.

You can do this by going into PGA 2K23 > Profile Menu > Display & HUD > Distance Info Position > set to "In HUD" and not to "Off" or "On Marker".

I think elevation does play a role, but there are so many factors now that affect how the ball flies, like the skills you have activated, the fittings, and even the golf ball you use. It's hard to tell sometimes how much impact things like wind and elevation affect shots when certain boosts are activated.

can i ask what slider settings people are using in career mode, i have it on hard difficulty but i can be 15 shots behind the leader but be 10th!

mine are: cpu skill 83%, 85 too much
event deviation 55
round skill deviation 10
cpu attendance 90

You play with all aids off? How are you able to judge the wind?
