After reading the posts on other threads regarding this offer I noticed a lot of head scratching / curiosity. I’ve got a theory as to why EA would do this.

A lot of the issues that folks have had with Madden 23 stem from playing into a franchise for multiple years. WRT a single season the game (IMHO) plays pretty well.

Perhaps the suits at EA feel that people who have not yet bought the game are less likely to play deep into a franchise so they’d have a positive experience which would reflect well on their product.
