I just realized I hope there isn't an issue of FPS drops when you play from Blue-Black tees due to having to load in more foilage and the like on screen just like in the 360 era.

Imagine the reaction if they cap the game at 30 fps on consoles AND it would still drop frames. Yikes.

I guess I am just wondering what all those people who are clamoring for 60 fps on console would think when they get a game that's capped at 30 fps...and can't even maintain that level. Might avoid Twitter on release day if I'm the EA social media person...

I guess I am just wondering what all those people who are clamoring for 60 fps on console would think when they get a game that's capped at 30 fps...and can't even maintain that level. Might avoid Twitter on release day if I'm the EA social media person...

If the game cannot even get a stable 30fps despite the delay oohhhh booy yeah I do not wanna be EA recieving all the backlash of that. We can only wait and see. Makes me wonder why if people want 60+fps why not just make the logical jump to PC-Oh wait I forgot apparently you don't buy sports games on PC.

A 2 week delay isn’t getting us 60fps. Would probably first or second patch. Maybe by summer at the earliest.

I get crippling frame drops on PGA TOUR 2K23 on my Series X when I have the graphics set to quality mode. It seems like the game is trying to run at 30 FPS, but it doesn't feel like it's even attaining that much of the time. I can definitely see the potential for that in EA's game. The fact that EA Sports PGA Tour is using Frostbite rather than Unity gives me some hope though.

Anyone else ready to see a low quality image of the 17th at Sawgrass tomorrow? All kidding aside do you think we’ll actually see anything this week? Career mode info? Even with the delay they still have a lot to reveal in a short amount of time.

I was assuming/hoping the career mode deep dive would have come out this week. Matching it up with the "5th Major" would have made sense, and they have called out The Players Championship in their marketing from when the game was announced.

Maybe they surprise us and something drops tomorrow?

Surprising considering this is EA. You would think even if the game turns out to be average at best the marketing campaign would be top notch.

Yeah something is definitely off.....

Where is the gameplay? Gamechangers I would think would post unedited gameplay soon, just like other EA titles?

I really hope they aren't hiding things and we get something before early access starts because once that comes around, they can't hide it any longer. Really hope it's not awful.

Unfortunately, the way games are released today, all you can do is expect the worse and hope for the best. All I expect from this game is to be average.

How many games have you/OS users bought in the last 5 years that checked off half the boxes that satisfied you? I gave up hoping games....especially sports games, to be anything more than a minor upgrade from the previous year.

If I'm going to be let down by the quality of a game, it won't be by EA for sure

I mean at this point, the few gameplay we saw, it looks a lot like Rory, it feels a lot like Rory... I expect something close to Rory. Maybe we can turn off the swing meter, unlike Rory where we had to see that green/red monster bubble. Maybe we can customize our golfer better, unlike Rory. We should have a lot more clothing/equipment contents, unlike Rory.

From what I saw for sure, we're getting 30 courses on Frosbite, with Augusta. It's going to look great. We will have something for golf nerds, pure strike, trackman and 20 different shot types... probably on cruise control with the dial a distance feature.

Soon we will have a Masters Playthrough, probably 3 minutes long like the deep dives we saw before. It's going to make customers drool over number 12, it's going to look so pretty. I don't expect much more.
