Ya I'm watching ODOGG's stream, he's on PC though. Maybe only PC players get the trial? wtf? I can't find it anywhere.

Someone on Reddit said they had to search for it on Xbox, it wasn't showing in the EA Play app like normal. No idea about PS5, haven't seen any reports about that.

PS5. Can't find it anywhere and can't link EA Play app to my playstation account. I see that I have EA Play in the PS5 but there's no mention of the trial anywhere in the app or PS5. I've been to every window and link on both.

Hope you figure it out. I got in, played several holes at Pebble... On simulation difficulty (hardest) with all aiming cheats off. every tee and iron shot is straight as an arrow, every pitch right at the cup. And at 30 fps it's quite choppy and I have a decent PC. Also, the crowd groans several feet before your putt rolls by the cup, so that's a "no crowd sounds" if you enjoy not knowing beforehand. If you're a golf nut 67 because you're an old guy like me and have played them all like I have, I'd call this game very easy, too easy. I'll keep at it but... Anyway, cheers and good luck.

This is super easy and no fun to play (slow and choppy) on my PC

Chipped in from rough on 3rd at Sawgrass with no aiming and way too much speed on the shot

UNREAL. This is the news most of us feared. I hate hearing this. Seems EA knew what they were doing by not showing any sim settings. I was looking forward to playing after work. Do yall see any chance of shooting over par on hardest settings?

I'm dropped down to medium graphics quality and even the flyovers are very choppy, not just the gameplay. I'm going to see if I can shut off the cutscenes, between the choppiness and the length of time it takes to switch to the next shot scene, it feels like playing in slow-mo. I did manage to hit a couple drives into the rough when I tried to miss, but they only missed by a few feet. Haven't been able to fly one into the OB areas yet. I'm using Pro players btw, maybe the default scrub CAP player is useless enough to make it less predictable. I'll have to try that next.

Something's not right with the game engine - it can't handle all they tried to cram in there.

I turned EVERY setting down -- 1080p, 30fps (locked) and all graphics to minimum... Still stuttery and jerky

It's the game engine

It's what many of us feared when seeing the jerky motion on some of the early official videos.

So so disappointing.

Not trying to start a war... 2K23 I have to play on Pro-Am which is three settings below the toughest difficulty, and I still rarely break par. Here I'm hitting every shot dead straight on simulation difficulty without even trying or thinking too much about it. And that's without aiming cheats or boosts of any kind. Also, the putting auto-defaults to the correct distance as well so it's also very very easy. I'll keep at it but unless I'm missing something... And this is just my experience, not trying to bash the game at all, I'm in fact hoping for another great golf game to play, the more the merrier.

I'm right there with you. Very first shots on Tour are going dead straight, even though my approach shot I slipped off the stick and pushed it way to the right, the ball only faded slightly to the right, 15 feet from the hole.

I still haven't figured out how hard to hit it putting but I'm sure I'll figure it out in the next couple of holes. Man it's depressing to hear that it's too easy for you even on the most difficult settings. Big time bummer.

I did that a couple of times accidently. There's no swing timing penalty so it's possible, unlike in 2K23 where the swing timing causes the ball to shank/slice.
