Thanks for all the info. I have been having a great time playing the career mode on the deck. I was having issues at first with the pixelation but once I turned off the dynamic resolution it has been running perfectly.

Since turning that off no crashes or pixelation either. The latest update seems to have helped performance a bit I think as well. Having a blast with this on steam deck. Gonna install it on my windows 10 dual boot tonight and see 8f the performance holds. I wanna use mods and I don't believe frosty works on steamOS.

I'll report my findings for those interested.

Game runs terribly on windows 10 on the deck. I put the exact same settings as my steamOS ones and the game was unplayable.

2nd game I've played where playing on windows is substantially worse. Wwe 2k23 was the same.

No not at all. I barely used SteamOS until WWE2k23 came out because not only did games run at least the same if not better on windows, you could also play COD and FIFA not to mention modding for Madden and GTAV which aren't possible on SteamOS. Then came WWE2k23. Even on the lowest settings with all the bells and whistles off I couldn't get the game to be playable. On SteamOS you can have most the settings on high with all the other options on and it plays great.

This game was the same. Everything disabled and on low I can't get even a remotely useable frame rate.. On SteamOS I can have medium and high settings for certain things and it's pretty smooth.

Every other game I've played it's at least as good on Windows.

Cryoutilities and upping the ram is a must for deck owners. Also get decky and use the plugin "vibrant deck" I use the saturation at 125. Everything just pops way more. Every game I've played looks way better.

I’m new to the Deck so just finding out it’s limitations & have noticed bunker detail isn’t great. I think the textures are there but the example most apparent is Augusta traps, the colour variation isn’t there so do you think vibrant deck will sort this? How do I go about installing it if you think it’s the right way to go?

Not sure if vibrant deck would fix that but it's honestly someth8ng everyone should use regardless in my opinion so you might as well try. You need to install decky loader( get it on github.) Then you can download many great plugins right from your deck. Vibrant deck is one of them.

Changing to proton 7-06 fixed it for me.

Yep, mines stopped working now after weeks of working perfectly.

Update... Reinstalled game now all is good again

I’ve set to proton experimental & booted from desktop mode. Shut the game when fully loaded & then went back to Steam OS & all is working well.
