re: EA PGA 23 New Update
It seems unlikely they’ll ever change that given their focus away from challenge of shot execution itself … that’s where the Flop challenge actually is supposed to beComment

re: EA PGA 23 New Update
I straight up had to stop myself from using flop shots unless it's the only shot type that can work, because they're just way, way too good. IRL, you want to keep the ball on the ground as much as you can, because it's the most predictable place to be. In the game, you want to minimize roll and keep the ball in the air as much as possible. The flop on gold means that a really bad shot is like 6 feet away from the pin. That just takes so much challenge out.Comment

Leave the AI as is but an increase in difficulty is very much needed.Comment

Still can’t choose the amount of rounds in career mode. What a bummer. 4 rounds is way to long when i can only get a round in once a day max and i dont like the randomness of quick mode. I definitely score better in a full round than the computer simming 70% even scores for meComment

I would imagine they will at some point ramp up the speed on the hardest difficulty in that 3 click they got. Seems a little too slow.Comment

I agree there should be an option but quick rounds has been a game changer for me. I played one tournament, all 4 rounds, shot -23 and ran away with the thing. When doing the quick rounds if I actually missed a cut, it makes the game way more challenging for me atleast, and brings an element of unpredictability to each tournament. If not I’d finish top 5 every time.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Patch Adds 3-Click Swing, New Presentation Settings, PC Mouse
It felt like TV latency so I literally double-checked all my settings to make sure TV was in Game Mode and there wasn't some outside issue delaying my inputs and there was not.
I tried 9 holes with one of the PGA pros rated 92 and found it much better. Also, I was able to hit the perfect spot about 50% of the time and when I missed it was by a "smidge" and it didn't affect my shot terribly.
In comparison, as my created golfer at 73 rating right now, I could not seem to stop the meter in the perfect area and in fact I would miss it to the right by a decent chunk causing me to slice everything terribly. I took my 10 available point and put them 7 into driving accuracy and 3 into driving control and it seemed to help.
At this point, either because of the tweaks to my golfer driving abilities or because playing for an hour my brain was starting to learn the timing, things got a little better. I could hit the sweet spot about maybe 33% of the time and when I missed it wasn't by a lot and I didn't get punished nearly as bad. So, I am thinking a lot of my problems with the timing will get better as I level up my golfer. Guess this replicates how hard it is in real life to be a beginning golfer.
I like the 3 click somewhat, but I miss the analog interaction with the left stick too. Did this patch tweak the analog stick at all as the EA crew stated they were going to do, or is that for an upcoming patch?Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA Tour Patch Adds 3-Click Swing, New Presentation Settings, PC Mouse
In response to my own reply above, I just had the opportunity to try the game on my PC and all the issues with three-click or non-existent. I was able to hit the perfect mark almost every time on the normal difficulty level. I would have thought that the PC would be more susceptible to latency issues if that is indeed what is causing this on the PS5. I may have to try it again on the PS5 and see if it was a one-time issue or not. Or perhaps the PS5 is struggling with all the graphics and it's causing issues with the timing on the controller. Who knows, but after playing it on PC and using an Xbox elite controller, it was almost too easy to hit perfect shots.Comment

I don't think broadcast camera tee to green is working correctly. I guess if maybe it is it would be from a broadcast I've never seen.
The camera stays very far back and zoomed out and only goes to the ball once it's settled on the Fairway or wherever it's landing spot is. It makes it very hard to see where your ball is going.
On real broadcasts the camera is at angles that capture the ball in air and rolling on the fairway. I am not getting anything like that.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

I wish they would give us an option of when to switch to the downrange camera view, and then give us more fixed options for reverse angle views of from say 135 to 180 degrees looking back toward the golfer. Putts are impossible to follow completely using the pro view once you get outside of 15 feet.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment
