Did a marathon. An entire day from 9 to 22. I managed to get from 87 to 88 doing the my career tournaments.

Still its quite enjoyable but wonder why there isnt an option to take away the distance showing for partial shots? Most golf game suggest a club but here even on hardest they suggest how many percent you should hit if there is no wind or elevation to your marker.

If I have a bunker shot I dont care I just hit. I will get closer then irl lol

Same with shots in the rough. Chips putting. Pitches you must take a bit care

Feels like I am playing golf on rails

As for customization there is none except clothes. You must use clubs you levelled up. They could just fix this bug by just making clubs skins where the fittings carry over.

Finally got to 90. Took 55.5h of focused grinding of the career mode mostly. Got some 1000 vc + more by creating more myplayers etc so could powerboost it up to 92 now. 2K need to fix that so you get 20 vc instead...

Fun to finally afford to play around a little bit. Respecced my main magician build more focus on contact/club path/transition. My power went down a bit though but I surely notice more 4 perfects. For putting just focused on weight and some on path but kind of messes up your feel for putting for a while.

As for skills no more texas wedge. The only club in the game you get no help with distance for and you can just put from the fringe anyway don´t understand it??? At some point I probably want the green reader skill but have to grind my greenkeeper 10 levels so have to wait.

Frustrating that it seems club experience doesn´t carry over and there is no way to just have the clubs cosmetically change while keeping the upgraded status. I would love to play with those blades but that is a 30h grind to get where my current iron set is now I recon and by then those would be further ahead.

If I delete my other mygolfers they will always start at 64 +24 ap?

- There is no way to carry club XP over to other MyPlayers. However, in the last patch, they made it so attaching fittings to clubs adds a 5%-per-fitting equipment XP boost, which would help you level them up faster on a new MyPlayer. It does mean you'd lose the fittings if you'd Evo up the clubs - unless the clubs you're using are "Limited Edition", as they don't lose fittings when Evo'ed.

- If you have one MyPlayer up at 90 OVR, any new MyPlayer you create will get "Rebirth", and will start with enough Attribute Points to get that MyPlayer up to 74 OVR. So don't delete that 90 OVR player and you should be fine with any new MyPlayers starting with Rebirth.

Finished the first season. Almost won the final event but lost to åberg With one stroke

Maxed out xp now at lvl 100 so I guess I must change my player now to have any use for them.

The St. Andrews Challenges Map has been added to the game. You get 150 MyPlayer XP for earning 16 stars, then get 75 VC and limited edition ruby Ping hybrids for earning all 32 stars.

I don't play career just Play Now all the good courses recommended on the TGC website and some of Ben Page's playthroughs that don't pop up over there. While the game has some niggling issues it plays better than any previous golf game. The changes to the designer take decent course to very good the good to excellent. Never thought they would ever incorporate pot bunkers but they did. Loving the post shot animations. Overall pleased with what they've done with the game. It plays fairly challenging on Legend with a 65 overall player. I think they've gone as far as they can graphically with the current Unity engine. Still looks pretty good to me on the PS5.

Visuals is not a problem no

I am still grinding vc. I got my technician to 85 to unlock pick shot. Next is grinding greenkeeper to 85 to get the grid skill. Seems like 3 special skills is practically the most you can achieve with a single character. I will probably go with my magician since he is 94 already and I hope to someday get out of the grind. But then maybe I quit the game lol

I do some online society events with horrible rules and to just get it over quickly sometimes I just speedgolf like crazy and just hit. Its amazing how with evo swing and all you still can get easy bogeys when you think you are hitting for quadruple bogeys with every shot from bushes or wrong fairway and you litterary don´t move to aim anywhere except for when on green.

Evo swing seem to mean you are never ever hitting it straight unless you are on the green? Don´t quite understand what the angles are supposed to represent other then increased difficulty. hitting perfect straight shot on perfect lie still it´s angled just because you can´t set up your character for neutral ball flight?

Wonder what official course it´s easiest to get 4 eagles on. I have not specced any powerdrive player yet which is probably stupid. St andrews I guess is a candidate if you have distance is there any better?

1) The angled swing is designed to represent a draw or fade bias. It also takes into account the lie, so slopes will also affect the angle of the swing. Putting and chipping are the only types of shots that are not impacted by the draw/fade bias, so those shots are more of the straight up-down motion.

2) You could probably get 4 eagles at most of the official courses if you just play your round on Perfect Swing difficulty, and from the forward tees on slow, soft course settings with no wind. If you don't want to play that way, I think Atlantic Beach Country Club is a good option. That course has 4 par-5s (St Andrews only has 2), and all of them are likely reachable in two shots.

I have a quest to score 3 rounds of 32 or lower for 9 holes for casual matchmaking. But only divot derby seem to offer stroke play on 9 holes? I tried skins but it didn´t count. Match play also concede holes I recon. Is ranked matchmaking counting as casual matchmaking?

No, casual and ranked matchmaking are different.

Divot Derby works for that Quest, but you have to win a round of it to complete 9 holes. If you don't win, you won't complete all 9 holes needed. I have completed the objective myself by winning a round of Divot Derby.

Is there a plan to get upgraded equipment? Would be nice to play with updated equipment and not 2-3 yr old clubs, putters.

I know this has been something that has been communicated to 2K via the Community Council. Someone there offered pretty comprehensive feedback on how out of date the clubs are in the game. No idea if 2K/HB will take action on it, or what their plans may be for future equipment additions. But they are aware that people are wanting newer clubs, and that they are missing some important club brands altogether (Srixon/Cleveland, LAB putters, etc.).
