Yeah, I haven't had a game crash since yesterday's patch was installed on my XBox Series X. I was even able to finish setting up my Society properly. I finally got that cozy warm feeling that this game is going to be a keeper after I played nine holes in the Society round, and finished the front nine with a hard working, but totally satisfying 36, in Pro difficulty.

2K25 has something a little special going for it with this EvoSwing, even though the way it's incorporated isn't fully intuitive, it does call on more analog dimensions into the swing interface. I'm really starting to get into it now.

And yes, I'm spending more time playing the game than complaining about it like I did early on in the last three iterations.

Well, I am officially humbled lol. As someone who’s been playing since TGC1, I’ve always been pretty decent at these games, but I am struggling lol. Never felt the same level of frustration on the virtual course as I have in a real one like this game has, in a good way. It’s refreshing, still working on getting my skills up a bit before I hop online but I can’t wait to see how that plays

There's a lot of minor-ish bugs and glitches to iron out at the moment (sounds like the Xbox version is doing better now), aside from those hiccups I do think we have a pretty good, maybe great, game on our hands. Gameplay is really fun and definitely the best I've ever played in a golf game, the new physics feel subtly different from what I'd seen in 2K23 but they make a world of difference imo. Many of the facets from EA's physics engine feel present but in a less arcadey way. The quests and VC earning are also pretty favorable to avoid the slow progression we had feared, and I've had a lot of fun going into game modes I'd probably never play, like divot derby, to complete quests for VC. Career Mode is probably the weakest part of the game, but it might be pretty serviceable depending on the presentation.

Is anyone experiencing screen tear??? I’m on the ps5 pro and ever since the update was downloaded it’s horrible. I tried with VRR on and VRR off. No bueno.

The screen tear I've seen is not near as bad or annoying as it was in the demo. But yeah, it's still there in spots.

I've not seen screen tear on xbox? Has there been a patch had no crashes yet. Oh and I've joined the society

Yeah, at times it’s non existent and then there’s times it’s a constant.

Playing the official course Huntington Sound I think it is, and if you hit into one of sand areas you can see the sand collect on the golf ball. Nice little detail.

Im about 20 plus rounds in, and I really like it so far. On pro am difficulty using 3 click, I’m probably averaging around even par with a few exceptions. Shot a 65 at Payne Valley that’s my low round.

Really feels like birdies are earned.

Anyone think it's too easy to upgrade your player? I'm 85 already and just played a online matchmaking match and pretty sure I just got credit for shooting less than 58... Its a 9 hole match of course I'm shooting less than 58. Got about 2k plus for that win

If anyone is looking a course with a bit of a challenge, I suggest Huntington Sound. Lots of wind and elevation change. Just shot 6 over with my 88 ovr character.

I think getting to 85 OVR was pretty easy, but if you played the demo you were likely already up to 70 OVR anyway. I got to 85 on day 1 with the game, but have slowed down considerably, even after adding more attributes to MyPlayer. Getting from 85 to 99 seems like a much slower process.

Made it through the Korn Ferry Tour part of MyCareer. I am enjoying the Dynamic Rounds option, which is basically the Quick Rounds option from EA PGA.

It's odd that there are sponsors in the MyCareer that, at this point, have no items for you to equip. For example, Bridgestone wanted to be my club sponsor, but the only Bridgestone clubs in the game are within the sponsor rewards themseleves...there are no Bridgestone clubs in the PGA Tour Superstore.

I found it fairly quick to get to rebirth (90 OVR), took me about 15 hours of playtime. Apparently it takes much longer to get to 99 OVR and leveling up requires more and more XP each level.

I like that it's easy to level up to a certain point cause it almost negates the pay-to-win aspect of using VC to level up your character, although I'd prefer a system with no VC at all like EA had. The multiple MyPlayers at least allows me to do a separate career with a player from scratch.
