Having scout cam off has been super challenging but I kind of like it. I can appreciate disliking it, because it makes it far tougher, but it's helped balance the current preset difficulty. Just food for thought.

To be transparent: it has absolutely ruined me on the current tourney lol

Yeah...the scout cam isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me, but I am feeling like the 6-12 swing is. That throws off the swing when playing ranked, and once TGCTours starts, there's likely zero chance I'd go without the bias.

I had to quit too. I can't do the straight up and down and I don't feel like putting a fade every time I swing to compensate.

I know eventually I'd get used to doing the straight up and down but with every other mode I play having the swing offset it's just not for me.

Maybe we can go back and forth and mix the preferred settings up weekly. I can play either way, but I would like the scout cam. I can play without it, but it takes me longer.

I wish there was setting for scout cam to be disabled for everything else expect short game and putting. It would be most realistic, because you cant see tee or fairway shots. For chipping and putting in real life you can walk and see your surroundings and read greens and scout camera is great tool for that.

I personally like to use scout camera because its fun gameplay and helpful tool.

These settings aren’t set in stone. I am willing to change things up if people aren’t happy with the way things are.

If people want the scout cam and swing bias on, I am very open to making that change for the next event. However, if we turn those on, I feel going up to Pro difficulty would be appropriate. Thoughts?

Maybe just mix it up the next couple of hours so we can all agree on a sweet spot? Maybe just do 1 Rd tourneys for a couple days and we go from there. Just all about finding the right balance of fun and challenging

I’m ok with that.

Swing Bias and context are on, scout cam is on, and difficulty is moved up to pro.

Just trying to get settings down that are a mix of challenging, fun, and gets the most amount of people to participate.

Couldn't we do this while leaving somethings open to guys and turning on the handicap?

Trust me I am also a newb to the societies. I have no clue how a handicap system would work in this context.

I've been running a Society since Societies were introduced to this series. Your post nudged me into sharing the way our Society tournament play has run for the last four years. We have a Daily, 18 hole tournament on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then we have a 54 hole tournament that runs Thursday thru Sunday, most often at the site of the real PGA TOUR event that week, if there's a quality course in existence for that particular venue. If it happens to be the week of a major championship, we play a 72 hole tournament that week. It's worked out really well, and we've been blessed in PGA 2K23 with enough premium quality real courses that we only had three weeks this past year in which we didn't play our event at the recreation of the same course.

Our settings so far in 2K25 are "Pro", with swing bias only in effect when you have an uneven lie or you're attempting shot shaping. We also have rhythm turned off in putting. everything else is stock Pro. I am not hearing any complaints so far, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't get tweaked a bit as we go forward. We've never had difficulty variables like this to deal with before and it's a learning process.

Personally I'm not a fan of the diagonal swing. I do play in Ranked Tour events online in Pro difficulty where I'm forced to use it. I understand the thinking behind it in terms of ratcheting up the difficulty a bit. I just can't feel at ease with having execute a diagonal swing path when I want to hit a straight shot off a level lie. The contortions I've to go through to hold my controller in a manner that gives me a good shot of pulling off a good diagonal swing just don't feel natural, nor intuitive. I still play the tournaments and hope that my senses will eventually become more acclimated to the diagonal swing. I can say that I'm getting better at it, but it still just feels so "unnatural" to me.

I'm open to whatever settings wise as long as I can 3 click and would like to be able to use the scout feature (crosses fingers LOL)

It's a shame we can't add the CPU field to it like we have in my career mode, just to have the leaderboard with more names.

Why are all the society times GMT? I read it's been an issue for years and not fixed for some reason.

I had set up one for my buds and I, 18 week schedule, first 6 weeks already created and we noticed we start tonight for the March 8th tournament but on the 7th LOL...

My intention is to use the Thursday pins for the first round, and the Sunday pins for the second round.

After playing Bay Hill in MyCareer, I think you had the right settings. For some reason some of the Bay Hill pin sets have the same pin locations on some holes (1 & 2, for example). It seems there are still a lot of pin issues on certain courses.
