    Question about Links 2004

I am thinking of buying Links 2004. What courses are included in the game? I have looked everywhere for a list of the courses and could not find it anyhwere. Thanks!

St. Andrews, Aviara, Superstition Mountain, Grey Wolf, Oakmont, Loch Lomond, New South Wales, and a designer course...There might be another that I am missing but I think I have got them all.

Actually there is one more but the name escapes me as well for a total of 9 but you have to unlock 5 of them. The fantasy course isn't like the cheesy ones you find in TW like deep in the Amazon, it's more realistic.

Even though TW has PGA courses I much prefer the Links courses, they're tougher and much nicer to look at because of the graphics. Grey Wolf is amazing to play and look at.

I recommend you get it now that's it's cheap. Once you start playing in advanced mode you'll never be able to play TW again, it's much more realistic and I guarantee you won't be getting holes in one and holing it in from 150 yards out after the second day like TW.

Thanks for the imput. I definitely will pick this up. The price is a bargain too. TW 2004 is not a bad game for me, but it seems like Links is more realisitc.

I think TW's games on the PC are also more realistic than their counterparts on the game consoles. I recently ordered TW 2004 for the PC since it is made by the same company as the PGA Championship series.

This game is awesome. I was playing a round the other day on Oakmont and the wind was howling. I was hitting shots all over the place. This game can be tough. Even with wind on TW, it never felt like it was difficult.

Another thing I advise to keep the challenge up is to not build up your golfer except for maybe a little power. This is of course if you don't play online tournaments. I keep my player at minimum and you can never master the game on advanced level. I can shoot a 65 one round and get my *** handed to me with a 75 the next round. Too bad the career mode is too short but it is fun.

Even though you can get good with the analog swing, if you don't play for a week it's sensitive enough where you shots go all over the place for awhile and can be frustrating and a hell of a lot of fun. The putting mechanics are so much better because it's more interactive than TW.

I'll agree that TW is much better on PC because of the mouse swing. Too bad I hate playing games on the PC because I like the PGA season mode on there and the stats tracking. The console version is terrible and depessingly easy even with the default ratings. I don't think I ever missed a fairway.

Like caseyd said, the wind is much more effective in Links, you get those howling winds and you need horseshoes up your *** to break par. You'll be swearing up a storm.
