Re: Check out this PGR3 pic
That's not no game pic, c'mon. This is getting rediculous, these game companies think they are fooling us consumers with these supposed "game play footage" in order to sell systems. This is just blatant disinformation and total disreguard to us when they lie like this. When Project Gotham comes out next year it better look like that.Comment

Re: Check out this PGR3 pic
A few comments from some of the developers.
OK, once and for all, that is an in game screenshot.
Alan
Yup - I'm going to back this one up as well.
That is 100% an in-game shot. This is PGR3, and this is the bar we're setting.

How do you know they're lying?
Next-gen should be near photo-realism.
They did a nice enough job fooling me this gen...
My understanding of how Bizzare is doing this is that they are taking tons of photographs and video of the locations, and then essentially making texture tiles out of them and mapping the tiles onto geometry. They're using precedural synthesis.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Check out this PGR3 pic
Not saying they can't make the game look like that in replays and in the fly by camera before the race. I just can't believe they can do this during actual gameplay. Will the resolution, color and shading depth be like that when you are driving through the city. I think Iv'e been by that spot in the pic, Canal street and broadway I think.Comment

It could possibly be from a replay, or maybe even a photo-mode similar to GT4. You probably won't see that kind of detail going 180 MPH.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: Check out this PGR3 pic
Does anyone really care how the street scenes look? Damn, I'm too busy trying to reach top speed and corner properly to notice the wear on bricks in a tenement house on the side of the road while playing a racing game.
It's pretty, but if the game drives and handles like sh*t, so what? But PGR does have a legacy of a very fun driving model, so I think the game will be groovy.
Take care,
