    Logitech MOMO Racing help needed

I just purchased this wheel along with F1 Challenge for my PC. Everything works fine except I'm not getting any force feedback. I'm a total novice when it comes to PC gaming so needless to say I'm totally stumped. I downloaded the latest drivers, made sure I enabled force feedback in the profiler, and turned on all FF options in-game. Beyond that I am out of ideas.

I once saw someone install a FF wheel here at work and noticed that upon plugging the device in, the wheel would sort of do a half turn and the lights on the wheel would flicker on. I'm not getting any of that at home.

Any suggestions from you PC gamers?

    Thanks.

HA, yeah. I was afraid I was going to have to fix the DMA or IRQ or some crap like that.

Now I have to find a power adapter.

I just got one direct from Logitech for my Momo wheel. $18 total including shipping. Just call their customer sales number from their web site.

I picked one up at Radio Shack and it was working fine for a week or 2. Key word being "was".

All of a sudden, in the middle of a race, I totally lost all force feedback in the wheel. I can't figure out what happened. It was all working so great. I made a pretty aggresive move on the wheel and then lost all FF. Is the wheel really this delicate? Has this happened to you?

Have you come back later to the game, and did the FF come back?
Have you tried restarting the computer?
Are you sure the plug didn't come out of the wheel or the wall?

So far mine is holding up well. I use it online in the Crossfire F3 series, and have had no problems even after long practice sessions and races. I know the requirements for the power adaptor are a bit goofy, which is why I went directly to Logitech for mine.

These guys may be able to help, they seem to know all there is to know about the Logitech wheels: http://www.wingmanteam.com/

This page lists the power supply requirements for the various wheels: http://www.wingmanteam.com/files/doc...elp/wmhelp.htm

                Hope this helps!

Yeah, I've tried quite a few times now and I still have no FF. It's just so strange to lose FF right in the middle of a race. I've unplugged everything, reconnected and nothing brought my FF back.

I'm at a loss but I'm going with gurantsu's advice about getting a new power adaptor directly from Logitech.

Thanks for the advice. Hey, I've been following your rFactor thread over at DSP. That racing league sounds intense but a lot of fun.

Re: Logitech MOMO Racing help needed

It's the best online league I've raced in, not that I've raced in a lot of them. The guys in it take the racing seriously, but not themselves. Not only are they very good drivers, but they are all very cool guys. It's fun to just log into their servers for practice sessions and shoot the bull with them. The races can get pretty intense, but no one makes any stupid moves or anything, so I'm very comfortable running right on someones tail and vice versa. You have to take a "driving test" to get in, but it's not about speed, it's about how well you handle the car when there are a bunch of guys around you. As long as you can do that, they'll let you in.

If you get a chance at least register on www.crossfiremotorsports.net and check out the video recaps that Joel does of each weeks race. I don't know how he does what he does, but man they are pretty cool. The theme of the last races video is "Mission Impossible". If you think you want to join up, all the info for doing so is right there also.

Oh, and I was offered a spot on Team PC Racers, and they painted up a car for me, check this out:

Once Joel finishes the next car set it should be in it.
