There is a PS2 demo that came with OPM this month.. Haven't checked it out yet though..

I wonder how different the two versions are?

I would suspect that the PC version would look the best (graphically) followed by the XBox and then th PS2. I've owned a several dual (XBox and PC) copies of various games over that past few years and always seem to gravitate to the PC for both gameplay and graphics. However, the online experience of Xbox Live is always so much more convenient than going online with the PC version of these games.

At this point, I'm torn on which one to buy for TOCA 3. I've got to get away from buying two different formats.....my bank account would appreciate that I'm sure...LOL

I usually PC game until my PC becomes too dated to play the new games, and then swtich to consoles.. Lately though, I think I will stick with consoles, as I mainly use my PC for word processing and Internet lately.

I've never played any of the TOCA games buy they've received lots of praise here and elsewhere.

I tend to be more of an arcade racer though, so I am not sure if I would like the TOCA games or not. I do intend to at least check out the demo though.

TOCA 2 for the XBox just totally blew my socks off, and still does !!! Very tight racing action and I expect nothing but the same or better from TOCA 3 :-D

Sorry if this is too far off but I have a couple of questions. With such great games like the Toca series, Nascar, MVP etc., is PC gaming a good thing to get into? I know that is a bit of a vague question that is mostly a matter of opinion, but I am thinking of trying it out.
My problem is my more powerful machine, as far as processor and RAM is my laptop, but it unfortunately does not have a good graphics card nor an upgradeable one. Which stinks cause it would be nice as it does connect to the TV and would be like a portable gaming system. And my desktop is not as good (Celeron) and I don't want to play on a 17" monitor. So "building" a gaming PC sort of interests me.

GB, if you've got the right rig, PC gaming is the way to go !!! Modders can make changes to PC games that's just not possible on the consoles unless you have a modified XBox or PS2 and even then you are limited. A good example would be MVP 2005 baseball. People (consumers) have modified stadiums to look more like the real-life stadium, made new uniforms and tweaked gameplay, etc...etc...etc..............

Also, PC games will be patched by the manufacturers to take care of gameplay issues and other technical matters. Whereas, console games DO NOT receive the same love...lol

I've got an XBox and a PC and always seem to prefer the PC games because of the above reasons and the superior graphics. In some cases, PC game modifications are damn near limitless. Hope this helps
