What is rFactor? I've heard a little about it so I need some education on the product. How much is it, and where can I buy it? Thanks !

I think its from the people who made Papyrus racing games. I guess they're coming out with a new oval series type of game with stock cars, midgets and sprint cars.

If they improve on NASCAR Racing 2003 I'll definitely purchase it.

rFactor is a racing sim made by Image Space Incorporated (ISI) and distributed almost exclusively online (at least in NA). ISI is the group that made the EA F1 titles, Nascar Thunder '03/'04 and Sports Car GT.

rFactor is built to be modded although the full game itself includes a good amount of content - from fictitious F1/3 seasons to ficticious sport car racing. ISI has recently released a beta patch that adds a stock car series and rules. It also boast some of the best net code in a racing title thus far.

The mod community for this game is already huge and growing. There are several solid full mods out which included everything from Porsche racing to GoKarts and Dune Buggies. Many more are planned and ISI seems to be very involved in helping the community. New tracks, cars and full series are seemlessly integrated into the game menu and online play.

There is a free demo on their website but it is fairly old and not completely representative of the full game. I almost didn't get the title based on the demo but went ahead anyway and am so glad I did...this game is going to be around a long time. No that is iracing who is owned by John henry who also owns the Red Sox.
