Tons of impressions are posted at the forum at www.digitalsportspage.com.

It's a GREAT game, by the way. I played it for five straight hours last night.

      Take care,

Its an amazing game, but still lacks a bit on the reality side. When was the last time you ever heard a sprinter shift

I got my copy at Gamestop on Friday. I called all the stores around here
and everyone one of them said they were getting 3 copies or less on release.
Does'nt seem to be a very popular game.

Codemasters games have always gone for the fine balance of arcade and realism. It's been that way since Toca1 on the Playstation and PC. It's a similar approach Bizarre Creation takes with their Project Gotham racing games.

The sprint cars are not done very well, to be honest. Nowhere near the realism of Ratbag's World of Outlaws games.

But the sprinters are one of the very few weaknesses in this game.

Ooooh, Rodster, you're blurring some lines there that I think should stay separated.

PGR is an arcade game, pure and simple. The cars may have good driving models, but there's no damage model, and the racing AI in offline games is suspect at best.

TOCA might be accessible like PGR, especially when you're not racing in the Pro-Sim mode, but it's not an arcade game. There is a full damage model, car setups, a very good driving model (especially in Pro-Sim) and superb racing AI.

I got your drift as far as accessibility, man, but I'm not seeing the connection between TOCA and PGR when it comes to the blend of arcade and realism. PGR leans way more to the arcade side than TOCA even though both are excellent games.

im sorry but any game that gives you Kudos for power slides belongs nowhere near the word "realism"

The sprinters were the one thing i was most looking forward to. I wish they could have been better, as i think they were highly anticipated by a large group. The rest of the game is a blast on pro sim settings. When you play online, how does it work in regards to setting up cars and racing types? Can you specify that everyone uses pro sim settings or turn on/off certain features? Can you make car set ups work on line?

Not sure about making Pro Sim settings mandatory. But yes, you can create online races that allow setups.
