I've been thinking about picking this up on PS2. I'm wondering if I should wait for the xbox version however? Anyone playing it that can give some initial impressions?

I'd probably wait for the Xbox version. Looked at the screenshots over at GameSpot and the graphics didn't impress me at all.

I finally was able to get my hands on the Australian PC version which is called V8 Supercars. If PRD for PC looks and plays anything like this I will most definately be hooked.
Took me 4 1/2 hours to download even on a cable modem. This was only 70% complete, but it felt and looked really good. Was a lot different driving from the right side of the car but I could get used to it

I got it for free, and as someone who doesn't ussually like racing games, I think it is pretty good. It seems like a perfect mix between sim and arcade, which is what I look for.Originally posted by Jay BilasComment

I played the PS2 version a little bit, the fact that it has a story mode turned me off a bit. The racing seemed pretty realistic and I didn't feel like taking the time to get used to it just yet. The other thing that bothered me is that in the first race it the career mode is that the other cars were so obviously faster than me that I had no chance to win, but I don't know if you need to earn some cash to build up your car or cars.Comment
