    F1 Challenge '99-'02 -- Questions

I installed my old F1 Challenge game on the PC, and am having a blast, now that I actually know enough about racing sims to compete without assists.

If you've played it and/or know anything about it, I have a couple of questions.

    1) Any idea where I can find the (once) popular DTM 2002 mod? I've followed 10-15 trails, and they all end up in broken links.

    2) I downloaded a car setup that handles like a dream, but after about 3 laps, I get a warning that says something like "your engine is overheating, try to shift less." Another lap or so, and the engine blows. What settings do I need to change to fix this? I'm assuming it's in the gears, but even when I set the gears back to defaults, just keeping the handling settings, I get the same results.

    Thanks!

      Thanks for the reply.

Can you actually download the mod from there? I mean, I know it's listed, but can you actually get it? Everytime I try, I get "403 Forbidden" error, so I assumed it was a dead link.

The actual mod is the 219 meg file, by the way.

Sorry to hear that, it does appear the mod has been moved. Post a message on the forum and someone will help you find the mod. I'm sure it's still avsilable.

Have you tried a google search? I haven't myself but you might find it there.

I saw a 2006 somewhere while I was looking for mods, but it was a really small download so I figured it's just a names update type of thing.

the RH2005 mods just recently came out. That's the one that all the diehards swear by. Updated rosters, cars, tracks, physics, etc....

you probably have to change the radiator opening to be higher. Was it that? Haven't played the game in a while but I think that is what is causing the over heating. Probably a qualifying setup. The radiator duct needs to be made larger in the car setup screen to get more air intake making the engine cooler. Sort of like grill tape on a stock car.
