    Tom Carnegie retires

Tom Carnegie is retiring from announcing the indy 500, after 61 years. I dont think I can imagine going to the track and not hearing his voice. He had an amazing run, and I was just thinking how much longer he could go on. I wonder who will replace him?

Most likely a tag team of Dave Calabro and Bob Jenkins, who have handled the bulk of the PA work on practice days for the last few years to give Tom a break.

Tom is an absolute legend. One of the nicest people you'll meet, too. He has time for everyone.

    Take care,
