    Formula One on 360?

It has been over 3 years and counting since we last had an F1 Racer on Xbox with F1 Career Challenge. For me one of the best racing game alternatives is MotoGP. On the Xbox and now 360 this is truly great stuff however I cannot believe that in 2006 there does not appear to be any F1 games in development for the 360. I remember being so addicted to F1 Games on the PS1. Am I missing something, is there something on the works?

    Still holding out for hope,

Sony has the exclusive rights for F1, so for now you'll only see it on PS3. And that's if they even release it in N. America.

F Sony! oh wait, they're not EA so people don't hate them or their exclusivity.

Their Formula One games are garbage anyway. I have Grand Prix 4 with the 2005 and 2006 Seasons and that's as good as it gets.

Could you post some more thoughts on MotoGP for the 360(if you have it) or anyone else for that much? I've read the critics reviews and now want to hear from OS posters. I have tourist trophy and although the replays were amazing, the game seemed kinda incomplete with it's lack of racers on the track at the same time. I did have some nice one on one's with the CPU though.

I'll do that once I am able to get my X360 fixed and play MotoGP '06 for myself.

By the way, an F1 game would be cool if done well. But what I would really love to see is a game that is based off the American Le Mans Series. Imagine having both Daytona Prototype classes and GT classes as far as cars go, plus include all the circuits that's in the actual series. Try to copy most of what's in the TOCA series by including all the flags, unique modes and features that's in that series. Hell, you could have the group of people who developed the memorable Test Drive Le Mans on Dreamcast from a few years back create this ALMS racing game. Ah, let me stop dreaming about this because it just makes me sick to think about it when nothing like this will happen for real. Ugh.

But speaking of TD LM, I'm still very disappointed in the fact that there hasn't been any kind of sequel or remake of this great game on any of the current-generation systems or next generation systems. There's still nothing like TD LM in the market today even though it's been out for several years now.

I hear you Kruza. They need some serious racing stuff for the 360. It's got the firepower to handle it. As for Moto GP-I have it in my hands and am getting ready to unwrap it. Couldn't wait and had some Best Buy bucks to burn. I'll write some thoughts on it soon.

                Coffee,

I owned both Moto GP and MotoGP II for the Xbox but have only played the 360 Demo. IMO, it's basically an extension of THQ's great work. It is however one of the more realistic if not the only 360 racer. Hopefully the series will continue to progress beyond updated tracks and drivers but the really strong point is having 16 real racers compete online. For me racing against human racers is 100x better than racing against AI on rails. The Grand Prix series for the PC was always good. I don't know if there is an online mode. Back when I was playing Grand Prix II, it was great for the mods and patches but after a while it became rather tedious with all the manual updates and such.

Let me know what you think about MotoGP 360. I have been playing too much Madden & NCAA lately

MotoGP 06-Alrighty-I've never played a Moto GP game before, only Tourist Trophy. The difference is apples and oranges. Moto is tough(for me)to put it mild. But-it is very rewarding when you downshift just right, grab that turn and start burning up the track. The customizable rider and bike/team name is a nice touch also. The graphics are impressive to say the least. And I'm not using an HD tv! The replays are very similar to gran turismo in tv mode. But the other views such as the lower chase cam and shake cam really show off the firepower of the 360's power. This game is addictive to say the least. I spent at least 4 hours last night just trying not to wreck! I like the learning curve,I'll be around awhile. The shifting/braking/accel controls took some time to get use to though. But once you got it figured out,it's fun. The A.I is a little smarter than Tourist T. and can give you a ride at times but they do like to pretty much stay in their predetermined lines. I think online would be the ultimate challenge. I'm very happy with this sim and the single player mode will work for some time. If anyone has any questions-throw em' my way and I'll do my best to answer them. Later.

Have you tried racing online? When playing with respectable racers, this is where MotoGP really shines! Glad you are enjoying the game.

I would if I could. But-I'm out of DSL range and satelite is out of the question being we are planning on moving in the near future,so high extra costs are out of the question. The AI is respectable in this game and I'm thinking about stepping it up to the highest level for the ultimate challenge.

Personally, I was very excited to get one of those Grand Prix games for the PC (can't remember which version it was, might have been version 3), but was pretty disappointed in the product (which came out after a number of delays). It was a bug-fest from what I remember.

I plan on purchasing a 360 before the end of the year, and the fact that GTR is coming early in 2007 is one of the major factors why.I was absolutely addicted to the mod versions of this when they were based of the EA F1 series

OT but I already have GTR2 (PC) preordered. The game/demo is amazing and i'm looking forward to see what they can do with the 360 hardware.
