Test Drive Unlimited: Such an underrated game.

I've recently gotten back into Test Drive and I had really forgotten what an amazing game it is. The amount of cars, size of the map, and the many hours it will take to complete the game are all reasons it should be checked out. The enviornments look sweet in HD, it's a very easy game to get sucked into. If you haven't played it already I suggest giving it a chance. And don't base your expectactions on the sorry demo realeased last year, it's a game worth having. I play with a few buddies a lot, so if you feel like catching a few races just hit me on Live, I have the same gamertag. I'll throw you a car club invite.

Sure would be nice if I could navigate around with the wireless wheel. No way to move the cursor on the map (such as a quick challenge race, etc) that I've found. Using the LB and RB skips waypoint to waypoint, and turning the wheel will go left and right, but no up/down navigation. Makes it way too tough to get around, so I've avoided actually playing it much since I got my wheel. Sucks, too, because I agree...it's actually fun when you're driving it.

I need to pull this game out of the cobwebs because it really is a blast to drive around in. Thanks for the nudge Buddy

Hey, come to think of it, I think I joined your car club at one time right after the game released. Can you check and see if I'm still on the roster?? If not, send me an invite and I'll join you online for some racing.

I'll probably rent this one until Forza comes. If you guys don't mind, I'll join in. I'll be trailing, but it's all in fun.

This is a little bit off topic but, how do you like the wheel? I was thinking about getting one soon when Forza/Dirt are out but i've never owned a console wheel before. Does it respond well?

it's cool to see people on here still playing. I only need some of the multiplayer achievements and would like to join a club. Whenever I try to play with random people, they always only choose the saleen or CCR, which is lame.

I've got those cars modded up, but it sucks having to race in the fastest cars in the game all the time when you have at least 50 more.

no doubt BK. we don't really race with A's too much. We run motorcyles a good deal and rotate car classes. If I had to guess I'd say we play C class most just because that's my favorite and I'm usually hosting lol. My 360 crapped out but I'll throw you a car club invite whenever I get it back.

I've got to break this game out again before Forza 2.

Anyone d/l the realism patch and how is it?

anyone here get the full 1k gamescore for this game? I'm at 930 and only need the custom, club races, instant, and 5k miles achievements. 70 points, so close..

I just ordered this game from Amazon. Question: when it comes to control schemes for the gamepad, does it have presets, or does it allow you to customize?

I totally prefer the old-school control scheme of D-pad for steering, A for accel, X for brake, and triggers for gearshift. PGR4 does not have that and it was a bit disappointing.

I remember playing this game a lot when it first came out. I would come home from work and play this into the early am hours. But i ended up traded it in. I might download the demo to play with again.
