What is 2x 3x 4x suppose to do
When racing no matter the number of laps I set the race for, then add say 3x. the race runs the same as if 3x wasn't on at all. I would have thought that by using 3x that wear on the tires and fuel usage would be increased. Therefore making a race that would have more pit stops?Last edited by dbrandon; 07-29-2007, 06:31 AM.Tags: None -

It's supposed to. When you changed the damage multiplier did the estimated pits number go up on that screen? Did that number go up and then after the race began you didn't need to pit even though it said you would need to? Are you just careful about about gas mileage and wear on ur car? I hope this isn't a bug with the game but we need more info about what happened to know for sure. -
Re: What is 2x 3x 4x suppose to do
On anything less than 4x and a 10% race, you won't get a pit stop. It sets 4x wear and fuel useage, but if your race is shorter than 10% you'd never get a pit stop. So if you're running 5% you won't notice a difference. If you run 20% you'd see more stops. 10% is usually a 1-stop race at 4x wear.

Like I said earlier bout IGN and some of those reviwer sites they don't know a thing about the sport, and can't grasp how to play, thats why they rated all pro 2k8 so low, they don't understand simultaion.Comment
