    NASCAR 08 for 360 or PS3?

Just throwing this question out there, does anyone know if one version is better than the other? Maybe a different in physics, graphics, damage model etc?

I have the 360 version and was wondering if the PS3 is better. I would think that the Sixaxis controller would be a benefit but it may be to touchy for side by side racing, I dunno.

    Thanks for any help!

I have both systems but to be honest most of the games that are multi-platform are usually better on the 360. Better graphics, online options and control because of the rumble.

Thanks for the advice, I have both systems too. Was unhappy with the way NASCAR handled on the 360 and was just seeing if the PS3 version was any better. I enjoy F1 on the PS3, guess I should rent NASCAR and find out myself, lol.

Those are the reasons why I bought the 360 version.

That will soon change as developers will eventually realize that the disc space is a benefit for Blu-ray for the PS3 and their are no constraints and less compression which it looks like the 360 is starting to have in the case of PGR4 and I wouldn't be surprised if that played a part in the delay of GTA IV. Is the PS3 challenging to develop for probably but it is about progression and once developers grasp that they will realize the benefits and freedom of developing for the PS3. Sony took their lumps early on but the future looks very bright for the PS3.

I don't buy it, not when multiplatform games are being released for the 360 first or getting cancelled on the PS3 altogether. Thanks to the awesome power of the PS3 GTA IV is now delayed and it has already been confirmed it was because of the PS3 not 360.

It doesn't matter whether the 360 games run out of space again which I don't buy not when you can fit Obilivion and all the expansions on one DVD. Either way if it were to run out of space there's always the tried and true multidisk format so again no real biggie.

Sony is still taking it's lumps and people need to quit saying the future looks bright. Give an example because every game the PS3 has touted as the savior has either gotten marginal hands on or reviews. The suxaxis controller is just that it sux. GT5 is coming out in 2008/2009. Every PS3 preview I have seen for any of their games can also be done of the 360 and it usually looks nicer and responds better.

Resistance has a huge community and still continues to sell well especially with the recent price drop which has boosted sales and this month Warhawk will be released and should build another large community also Unreal Tournament 3 will be more open to modders that's why it will be out first on the PS3 plus it was designed for the PS3. Then their is Home, Rachet and Clank, Haze, Killzone 2, The Agency, Socom, Little Big planet plus most third party games are on both systems in regards to sports and other shooters like Rainbow six, Call of Duty. I think both systems are great even though I do not own a 360 but I look forward to see games like Mass Effect, Halo 3 and other titles as well. I do agree that I would much rather have rumble over the sixaxis control which is poorly executed and I don't use it where rumble immerses the player into the game especially in shooters, sports and driving games. Both systems have their negatives with the PS3 being harder to program for and the 360's red rings problem. Also systems should be judged by first party titles as they are designed specifically for that system and will get the most out of the hardware where some third party games that are multi-platform try to stay comparable no matter what system it was designed on.

Resistance has a huge community because it's one of the few decent games on the PS3. It's not spectacular by any means it just stands out in the crowd due to the lack of quality games currently on the PS3.

Systems should not be judged so much by first party games only but the overall amount of quality games both first party and third party. This is where the PS2 crushed the competition last time around. If systems were judged for first party only then Nintendo should have easily been the winners last gen and they weren't. It's a similar problem I see facing Nintendo today. Console makers try to achieve a 70% third party and 30% first party ratio. This time around it's going to be even less because it cost so much to develop for just one platform that they are forced to bring it out on multiple machines.

The PS3 does have some nice games in the future but that's just it, "the future" whereas the 360 has all the killer apps now and more in the "very near future", big difference.

Don't get me wrong i'm not a PS3 ***** because I own one and and five games for it and one of them is Resistance. The PS3 just doesn't wow me as much as the 360 when you factor in how great games look and play on a 360 vs the PS3 and when you throw Xbox Live into the mix it's a slam dunk for the 360.

The only thing that the PS3 has over the 360 is reliability. The 360 is a piece of crap that will undo all the positives it has achieved since it's release in 2005. When it comes to that i'm one of MS harshest critics on OS.

Your right about first and third party being judged by quality all I meant was if a game is made for one system the power of that hardware will be more benificial for that game. I guess it all depends what the system has to offer to an individual some may not play many of the games on the PS3 so it looks like their is no games because they have no interest in them and alot of the games that are on the 360 can be played on the PS3 regardless of which version is better examples of this is Rainbow six, Ghost Recon 2, EA sports titles, Oblivion, Call Of Duty 3 and soon to be released Modern Warfare, 2K sports titles, Assasins Creed, GTA IV next year, just to name a few and then each has their exclusives like Halo 3 and Killzone 2. I probably would have purchased a 360 by now as well but it's reliabilty is what scares me.
