My six year old son likes to watch Nascar and has peaked my curiosity in the series. Thinking of making the purchase but wanted to know if there is an easy level that he can play with adjusted settings. BTW he can race at the medium level on the "Cars" game for the Ps2. Any help thanks

If your buying the PS2 version then he should no problems with the game. The 360 version is a different animal. -

I say if its the 360 version go for it, there are so many ways you can adjust the game so that the people who think NASCAR is for dumb rednecks will have a good time as well as the hardcore guys who build thier own setups from scratch.Comment

The problem with the 360 is the learning curve with the controls and I think the OP is looking for something a little more casual. Also the AI in the 360 version is utter ****e that's why I returned it.Comment

Sorry you took it that way. I wasn't trolling just giving my opinion. If you're enjoying the game them i'm glad for you. I tried it and after awhile the problems became quite glaring. Both the IGN and Gamespot mentioned in their reviews what I had said.
I like the driving model but EA needs to really address the AI next year because it needs work.Comment

I don't think you were trolling. I'm in total agreement with you on the AI issue. Everything else on the game is very good. When I fired that thing up on my HD tv-I was very impressed,the pit stops had great cutscenes. I wouldn't buy this game for a young kid myself though(PS3 version)-I'm an adult and got to a point where hurdlin' my controller through the tv screen seemed like a good idea due to "road raged/ignorant" AI. They flat out ran me over when I was on the apron-smashed my bumper on the pit stop lanes going out-and didn't want to use strategy out on the straights and turns. It was either-move it or lose it.
