And just if any of you missed it at the end of the ARCA Sim preview. The winner of the series will get a one race ride in the ARCA Series.

A few other things to talk about with this one.

First off, during the beta testing, while racing you can not see your tire temps or tire wear. Once you pit you can see what you did to the tires.

Also the track will change during the race, based on temp, and the groove will build up as the race goes on, so you will have to keep up with the changes if you are doing a longer race.

ARCA Sim Racing's has changed their series page, and will be adding more info over the coming weeks. They also now have an official forum.

            www.arcasimracing.com/asr

Info about the series should be right around the corner.

I can't wait for this game to come out. It's gonna be like Christmas for me.

And kneebon, I'm STILL jealous of you.

Re: ACRA Sim Racing - Preview

Here is a little bit about the series that they will be running with ARCA

"I thank you for your kind words and hope that much of what you say happens as we forsee it also.

I do think that it will pool the community together to have a sanctioned and highly publicized series as far as hopefully making their leagues stronger.

The goal of our online series is to emulate to the best of current technologies ability, every aspect of what it is like to race in a REAL ARCA RE/MAX Series event. From the caliber of competiton to the usage of live spotters if chosen...to the officiating and ultimately communication from Race Control to the spotter or driver.

Basically our main event drivers will be expected to perform at a level that is highly scrutinized by ourselves, ARCA, the sim community and the media outlets we work with. We will maintain a level of influence just as in life where drivers and teams are held accountable as well as called out on their actions.

We have real life ARCA Officials that wish to officiate races with us, ARCA wants streams on their main site of races...so the professional atmosphere will be surrounding these drivers as well as the knowing that all eyes are on them. In the main event we want...the top 43 cars at the track that weekend to represent all of us...to do so they will need to be able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

As for the structure...we will inevitably have tiers of competitions where POINTS are KING and POINTS are what allows you to qualify for main event racing. Do know that consistant main event drivers will also be part of a provisional plan as in life. There will surely be prizes and such for all races but the main event drivers are the ones representing the online series to the those that we hope to get paying attention to it through various channels of the media. The struggle to be in the main event is on your shoulders as a driver/team to be the best.

Basically you will have levels of racing throughout the week and then a main event race that same week if it isnt a week off. The top two drivers from those competition levels will be able to qualify for the main event against the 43 drivers in the field. Provisionals will be for below 28th qualifying position so you will have to qualify on time to make the race. This number is subject to change depending on entered users in the series.

In the end you will have racers that race to prove thier skills and their only goal is to be in the main event. As well as leagues who send over their best and brightest to represent them in the competitions and forge into the main event. But at the same time people that are racing more to enjoy the competative arena and be a part of the sanctioned series as well will find a rewarding outlet to compete.

It will be structured in a manner where any can be a part of it and find it a great way to get their racing fix....and the best each season will get in a car for a real race. As we bring in the Lincoln Welders and Late Model series to the Online Series there will be more tiers to be a part of and shine.

Now remind you...because the best will get in a real car...we are going to be tough...if not tougher then they would be in real life on scrutinizing the drivers abilities in the main event both on and off the track as far as how the present themselves. Break the rules off the track and like in life points may be subtracted as we want someone that wants to represent our company, the online series as well as the sim community in that car. We want our champion to act like one.

Ultimately it is a series that will grow over time...and hopefully bring more exposure to sim racing as a truly competative arena. Cause we all know that it is only gonna get better as technology allows it to do so."
