It's gonna take a while to get used to hearing/saying "Sprint Cup"

In my head I get it mixed up with Sprint Car racing and whatnot, for a split second until it clicks. I just got used to Nextel Cup after a while and then they change it again? Ugh.

Don't get too used to it, because at the rate Sprint is going, it won't last very long.

It must remain as Sprint Cup, until at least 2013. NEXTEL's 10-year deal with NASCAR in late 2003 allowed only one name change during the term of the contract, and this was that change.

Not gonna remain the Sprint Cup if Sprint can't afford to pay for it.

whats going to be hard this year is all the driver changes, there hasnt been too many over the last few years, at least not bigger names. Now there is sponsor changing teams, drivers moving around. Going to take a few months to get it all figured out. At least i can cheer for the 5 car now.

You think NASCAR will let Sprint escape a 10-year contract? I don't. Short of Chapter 11 for Sprint, NASCAR will get its money.

That's what I'm getting at, don't be surprised if something along those lines doesn't happen. Do I expect it to? No. Would I be surprised if it did? No.
