I don't think I like the direction Codemasters' going in with this series. I've been waiting forever for Race Driver 3 to be backward compatible.

Looks really good, I want them to make Toca Pro Race Driver 2 and Toca 3 BC, and this game is looking nice.

I heard the career mode is similiar to TOCA 2. If so, I want it!

I was excited when they announced a new game, but didn't like that they were including drifting and street racing. Their sim racing part sounds great though. Circuit De La Sarthe 24 Hours of Le Mans with 20 drivers and full day-night cycles. Thats gonna be great. I prob. will end up picking this game up, and will most likely stay away from anything but the sim racing part.

What the hell is wrong with the Nordschleife? It seems as if the editor was dissing this track in the preview, which is crazy. The shorter Nurburgring F1 circuit is cool, but I like Nordschleife a lot more.

Oh yeah. I've played Test Drive Le Mans on Dreamcast, alright. And I still have it. Finished the full 24 hour Le Mans race in real-time on that game with the 1998 Toyota GT1 (not in one sitting, though). Great experience. I'll most certainly want to do it again on GRID.

Anyway, it's cool to read about the new additions in GRID, but I'm just concered about all the subtractions made along with the racing aspect of this game and most importantly... how much this game will deviate from TOCA series. Having no GT cars and many of the circuits from the DTM series in GRID most definitely hurt, but I don't think I'll miss the V8s series all that much. Only a few of the circuits like Bathurst along with Adelaide and the Surfer's Paradise street course.

I wonder how online play will be in this game. This mode should be be fine as long as it has cars, circuits and necessary race options available. But I'm curious as to what elements have been made here to make this mode an improvement over the previous TOCA Race Driver games. And for offline play I want to be able to race with simulation-style handling and damage against quality CPU-controlled cars, which are things I thought the TOCA games did very well.

I guess hopping on the DORIFTUUUUU bandwagon could be good for the bottom line, but I'm not really looking forward to it as much as I am TOCA 3 eventually becoming backwards compatible.
