So I have read on a couple of other forums about NASCAR 09 freezing up when loading saved profiles. Well it started happening to me tonight. I tried everything and to make sure it wasnt the console I put in another game and it worked fine. So it seems EA is going to come out with a patch to fix this, but I have to say that this is really disappointing and I was half way through a truck season and now I have nothing. It really sucks. Anyone else have it happen to them or found any way to fix it?

I feel your pain. I had the exact same problem this past weekend. Went through the truck series, nationwide series and had the first 26 races completed in the cup series. Also had a rep over 8,000.
Got up Sunday morning to get the chase started, started the game, when it said to press start the profile loading screen came up and never went past it. Retried it numerous times with no success. Had to delete my profile on the system in order to get back into the game. Even tried starting the game under a different profile name, but once I tried to load my profile with all the goodies in it, it froze up at the main screen again.
Some people have said to try turning off auto save, which I am trying out now. Haven't had any problems yet, but I'm only through the truck series right now. I'm expecting it to freeze every time I load the game though. Drives me crazy. Hopefully they can find out what's causing the problem. -

So far so good without autosave..havent been able to play much lately, but I made it through Daytona without it freezing...Comment

This just happened to me
Put the disc in and now it is sitting frozen on the Please Wait... Loading Profile-Save screen.
