How To Pick:

Pick the amount of cars based on the place you are picking, if you pick 2nd pick 2 cars, 5th 5 cars, and so on.

Place the driver who you want the most at the top, 2nd most 2nd, and so on until you fill the list based on how many you need.

As i gather the list i will mark off cars from your list that have been taken. I will then take the driver who is highest on your list, that is left.

You can send your list to me by PM or email.

Please dont submit your picks on this thread, unless you want everyone infront of you to know who you really want...

How points work:

Each week all picks must be in before midnight the night before qual.

If someone picks the Pole Winner they will get 5 extra bonus points

Your drivers total points will be given to you (bonus and finishing points)

If your drivers team is fined for a car related point penalty you also will lose those points.

If a driver is fined for punching someone or saying something they should not you will not lose points.

The Chase will begin when the Sprint Cup Chase does. We will be taking the Top 8.

if there is a tie for the final spot into the chase both will get in. Each driver will be given 10 points for each win he or she has.

The leader in points going into the chase will also be given another 25 point bonus.

If there is a tie going into the chase for the top spot both of the drivers will be given a 25 point bonus.

Have fun with this, pick every week, because you can gain alot and its a long long season.

If you know you are going to be gone for a week or know you wont be able to pick for some odd reason. Send me a list of 19 drivers 1. being the most wanted and so on down the list, i will then take this list and use it for where ever you will be picking from.

If this is all too much to read, ignore it, have fun, and just pick your cars each week.

I think we will be going to a new format, when the chase starts.

The picking order and everything has turned into a pain, with rules and doing the order, and missing dates.

What i want to do is just have everyone PM me 1 pick, anyone they want, and it will be kept private until everyone has got their picks in. You wont be able to pick the same person in a 10 week span (so for the whole chase). (13 weeks for the season, 2 parts)

Let me know what you think, if we should go to this or not, and if we should use it for the whole season next year.

I personally like the way it is being done now. I would say keep it this way for the rest of the season and then do the new idea next year's season.

i too enjoy the current way we do things. if it's about you needing more time then there are plenty of us around here that can help you out. it's a lot easier now to only have to pick 6 drivers, and most of us should be able to get them in by the required time.

I agree with other peoples sentiments, I enjoy the format the way it is. We can all pitch in Nick and help out in someway, that way, its not so tedious for you.

The way the format is now, I feel like I am rewarded by the person I pick. I feel like if I research a little, follow the drivers trend, and have a little luck....my decision has an impact on the outcome. If we go to format where certain drivers are discluded from our selection, I feel like that will take some of the fun and spirit away.

On hte flip side, I also understand that this does not have to fall back squarely on your shoulders. We need to come up with something that splits up the responsibility.

Just some ideas:

1. Current weeks winner is required to update points(besides, its kind of fun doing the points after you win)

2. Last Place finisher is required for that week to gather all the followings weeks pick..email reminders, and update the thread with current picks ( they will have the 1st pick anyways to start off)


Once again, just some ideas to help Nick out

I was going to, but the only reason he won the 500 was because of smart track position and Kurt pushing past the pack there at the end. They have not exactly lit the world on fire since then, and he is so inconsistent.....still odd he wasn't picked at all.

Looks like I was right last week when I said Tony needs to eat less and exercise more. Tonight he looked like he was going to fall over and die.

I didn't hear anything about it, but is he sick or just completely out of shape?
