Yeah, you wouldn't imagine (about feeling like a pusher).

This is like 6 people in a couple weeks. He's already agreed to run on Wednesday nights (that was a condition of giving him that gear hehe). I just gotta make him a car.

That's one thing that's sacriledge to a lot of people around here, but I really don't get into March Madness.

As for Texas, it was nice to see Ryan actually finish the race. When he took 2 tires, I actually told my brother "the way he drives, he'll wear them out and either wreck or finish 6th"...and yet he calmly drove the car and kept Jr. in sight, then blew by him and hotlapped his way to the win. Kudos to Newman...the race between Jr. and Gordon was awesome, though.

Definitely Kudos to Newman...when he just took two tires I also thought he'd end up out of the top 3, but he held on. The fight for 2nd at the end was quite interesting too...I actually watched the entire race, a first for me

            Congrats!

It's tough for the "non fan" to really watch flag to flag.

I was happy to see Newman win the race. Like you guys, I didn't think he would do it taking only two tires, but he really had a lot left!

As for Gordon and Jr., that was some fun racing. Like JG said after the race, if they were racing for first, they probably would have wrecked.

Hey, hey, hey watch it! Seriously, hell of a job by Jr. to hold on to 2nd place and finally Newman made me look good, Ive been endorsing him since last season. I, like the rest of you thought he was screwed taking 2 tires. Anyway, next week is Talledega and I'll be there, look for me on TV.

Yeah, it was sort of a vindication for both of us, man.

Newman with the win, and Junior actually displaying some driving skills with a deteriorating racecar to hold off a badass like Gordon. Good weekend all around

                            Re: mmmm Texas...

I guess I will never get how people enjoy Nascar racing especially in Texas, where side-by-side racing is nonexistant. But there was like 200,000 people in the stands to watch it unfold. The pageantry is cool, but after that, I guess it depends on who pits the best.

Speaking of which, to broaden my knowledge of Nascar, I'd like to propose a question to people in the know. What is the most important aspect to be successful in Nascar? The driver? The car? Or the Pit Crew? This was a question posed by one of the radio personalities down here in Texas and got varied responses. What about you guys? Thanks and hopefully maybe I will understand Nascar just a bit more.

I would say the answer to your question from a NOOB standpoint is a combination of the three.

Maybe trouch who knows more than I do can answer it better.
