A Race Car Simulator That Costs Almost as Much as a Race Car

Anyone interested? Check it out, over at PC World, video included. Thanks Dave!

"If, like me, you’ve always dreamed of driving a race car really, really fast, but have been deterred by minor worries like the possibility of smashing headlong into a wall at 175 mph, you’ll drool over the Simcraft Apex SC830."

Thanks for posting the link to the article.

It has to be an amazing experience racing in this thing. I would've liked to see the player having to take numerous type of corners aside from slightly banked curves along an oval, though.

That simulation he is racing is at www.iracing.com, and is available to anyone to join and race...you don't need a $40,000 simulator, you can use your home PC and a decent Logitech steering wheel. Too bad OS or even PC World wouldn't give credit to iRacing.

We have spoken about iRacing on here in a feature: http://www.operationsports.com/feature.php?id=610
