    Playing Racing Games

Im curious to find out what you guys think about this.

Is it just me or do some of you get worse in your other racing games as you get better in others?? I have Ralisport, Sega GT 2002, World Racing and MotoGP

An example of this is that anytime i play Sega GT for an extended period of time, I find it impossible to control my car when I play Ralisport Challenge. Now after playing World Racing at 100%sim and and all assists off for a period of time, Its hard to play Sega GT or Ralisport. Although, I think it doesnt affect me when i play MotoGP.

Not me. I pretty much hit a certain skill level, and then stay there for the most part.

Yeah that would make perfect sense. Not every racing game handles the same physics wise or offers the same framerate or has the same view perspective (In Car or Bumper View). Some racing games I find easier to get back into because of the timing of the game (FPS, View, Handling).

Yeah, the most difficult for me is Ralisport Challenge. Its almost impossible for me to pick it up and drive without being all over the place. Its pace is so much faster than any other game. 90mph seems like 190mph in other games.

No question, dude. You're not alone.

I find it takes me a good 15-30 minutes to get any sense of rhythm and skill back in a sim like Colin McRae Rally 3 or World Racing at 100 percent sim-no assists after playing an arcade game like Burnout or even Project Gotham.

And if the truth be known, Moto GP is the one racing game in which I actually drive/ride better when altered, if you know what I mean. I have no explanation why, as I'm pretty lousy at other racing games when f*cked up.

                Take care,
                PK

I always find slamming into the wall and gas gas gas is the fasted way around any track - at least thats the way it appears if you watch a replay of my race.
