Jeffrey, this is one of the only ones that I know about. Don't know much about it as I haven't had a chance to check 'em out. Hopefully it's worth a shot for you!

Man, I don't have this game yet so I can't tell. At any rate, please tell me there isn't many knuckleheads like this on Live. Heh, I'm sorry, but if I come across someone racing like this guy online I would have to cuss this mofo out -- and it would be loud and clear so everyone could hear.

This is one reason why I normally don't play online games against randoms. But I was fully expecting to see a video of another person. Not for it to be his video. LOL Always nice to see comments when people all thank it's so funny. Video game companies I think need to start taking a more serious approach into people playing games online the way they are meant to be played and maybe having real consequences if your doing unsportsman like stuff like that.

          Re: Forza 3 Discussion...

I would say that video is pretty typical. To be blunt - Forza 3 is dreadful online - especially if all your friends are playing COD MW2 and you just want to get into a random race. Turn 10 took out the public customer / server browser and now funnel everyone into a handful of match making play lists, 'for the greater good'.

          - Full assists so skill is not required...in fact, try keeping up with the already class-overpowered FXX when you actually have to manage your wheel spin and stability against someone who is glued to the track.

          - Crash party because 'all assist' drivers never learn how to drive. They play the single player like Burnout and it doesn't change when they are racing online.

          - Cheaters prosper. Unlike Race Pro or Shift where you are penalized and DQed for cutting Forza 3 does nothing to discourage it. A few corners have velcro grass, the ones you usually get punted into from behind, but otherwise the biggest penalty a player gets is not having his lap time post on the good guys leaderboard. Not a deterent.

          - Hundreds of ways to customize the races but only a six pre-set play list to pick from. No server browser, no custom options, no way to join a public room that isn't built for six year old arcade racers. If you don't like the handful of generic and arcade friendly play list T10 has created you are sol.

          - Winners go home. One of the reasons T10 put an end to custom public rooms was to stop host from kicking people who were better. Well, Forza 3 makes it more common because now instead of the host having that option, everyone in the room does. Win a few races or have a guy feel you are at fault for something and your name gets put on the chopping block. You will be surprised how many people will just vote to kick even if they are not sure why. They just assume the initiator must have a good cause so they agree and out you go.

          - Overpowered cars lead the pack. It seems, as always, T10 is not very good at balancing car classes by its PI system. So for each class you will find a few cars that stand head and shoulders above the rest. In the A class you can just downgrade your car by putting an AWD tranny in it. Then upgrade it until it is a class beater. Same for the R3 class in which super cars have some 200hp on the race tuned cars.

To put it simply. Forza 3 is a joke online if you are looking for anything but cheap arcade racing. If you have a crew to run private with or are just looking for a great handling but sterile single player experience Forza 3 is fantastic. If you are looking for serious random races...well, you have as good a chance of finding that in NFS Shift or Burnout.

Aw man. That sucks. I would like to be able to just go online and get into some good competitive races without needing to schedule or organize stuff.

I've not gone online yet, but if all that posted above is the case then I agree with you. I played Forza 2 online like it was my job and it was so great when you found a good lobby with people willing race sim and adjust courses and classes accordingly. Now that it's all matchmaking it seems like it's become the Halo of racing games, but in a bad way. I enjoyed putting time and effort into trying to make a good car in each PI class to race online, now it seems like that doesn't matter either. Big thumbs down to Turn 10 for the multiplayer blunder.

                Re: Forza 3 Discussion...

This game is really awful online. You either get rear ended or there is one guy with a car that's unbeatable. I've been meanning to try it again since they added some other classes, but in all honesty it's probably the worst online racing experience i've ever had.

They need to just make races against ghost cars or do something extra to the handling when getting rear ended so you don't spin out so easily. They also need to have seperate classes for RW, FW,AWD and seperate rooms for what assists can be used.

If you got a bunch of friends with the game you can set-up some very good and fair races, but just jumping online for a quick race is a total disaster.

I haven't bothered with any random races but that sounds about right. If I'm not in a room with a buddy I'm just working on my career mode because I know what to expect.

Good i thought i was just that bad playing. I can never seem to do good. Everyone has max out there cars and turn almost perfect lap times. Online is no fun.

I would love to fill my friends list with people who'd like to play without assists.
                      Anyone interested.

Shifting is not really hard core. Once you get it down it actually makes it easier to drive the car.

Yeah, I can't imagine playing this game w/out shifting. You should try it out for a while, I doubt you'd go back.

                              Update:

They have really improved the multiplayer by adding the lower classes. I had some real good races in E class today and it seems people are able to control their cars much better at the lower speeds. There was only 14 people in E class, but i raced for a good hour. I believe this will really catch on now that they've added these lower classes. They also added a A class with no collisions, but i think it's for production A class cars only.

I think the newbs have cleared out also and went to MW2 probably, but the racing is 10 times better now and most people drive like they got some sense and don't rear end you on every corner. I suggest actually giving online a try now.

Yeah, I have been in some of the lower C and B class races and it seemed a much improved class of player. Some still were taking advantage of AWD but you see a much broader mix of cars and I also notice quite a few people lock up or spin tires so I assume more people are not running with full assists as well.

I think the punks either went to MW2 or just steer clear of classes that don't have the Veyron or FXX. With out a stand out car to dominate the class I don't think they have any interest.

I also saw the "pro" mode and not a single player was in it. It is nice that T10 offered a playlist with limited assist but the fact they turned off collisions makes no sense. The people who want no assists are not the people who need no collision. If anything, the no collisions should apply to a couple of the rooms with full assist - as those are the idiots that play the game like it was Burnout.

Still, while these made some improvements I am still overall extemely disappointed in the way T10 has approached this new playlist system. Keeping it a secret from everyone until release and then coming with such a limited selection while the community is at its largest when instead they should start with a big selection and weed out the unplayed game types.
