    Questions about Race Pro

    1) Anyone know how many laps to choose to have a need to pit? Career mode only has acouple of laps so far (not very deep into it) and when I start up a championship, I can choose the amout of laps, but I'm not sure which would give the more realistic depiction of pitting

    2) when starting a championship, I'm given the option to choose wet or dry weather. does this mean that all the races will be one weather type? no randomization at all?

    1) Not sure about all of the cars but the WTCC models get around 36-40 miles to the tank. I usually go with 21 laps.

    2) Unfortunatly there is no random option so it is either all one or all the other. For Championship mode I would stick with dry.

Thanks! The "no random" thing is a bit of a downer.

I'll give the 21 laps a try. How often do you have to pit? Does the game tell you when to pit?

You will get a warning or dummy icon when you are down to 5 or 10 liters. If you drive from in-car view some wheels have fuel info on them. Supposedly starts at 50L and counts down although I haven't been able to make it out.

I know having a gas gauge on the HUD and random weather are pretty common request on the Race Pro boards so hopefully those two work their way into a patch.

Also, don't know if you guys listen to DPL's podcast but they had some guys from Atari on last night talking about Race Pro. While they would not confirm anything outright they made it sound very promising that Nurburging and GT Legends were going to show up in some DLC.

I am not a huge fan of a lot of the nickle and diming that goes on with Live but I did fully support Atari's Test Drive game and all its DLC. I respect that Atari is intentionally releasing at a discount price knowing they have DLC in the wing. This allows people to try at less risk and then add on for games they enjoy. Rather than Capcom's strategy to sell at $60 and a day later offer $5 color changes for costumes.

21 laps worked great for me! For the first time in forever, I feel like I've had an epic race in a racing game. Thanks again!\

I'd pick up DLC for this in an instant. I hope more racing fans support this game to send a message to the developers that there's a market for the serious racer as well
