F1 is a different style of racing that Im not accustomed to but I really would like to watch more races and get a better understanding of what its about, the lingo, rules, teams, drivers etc. I plan on getting F1 2010 for PS3 soon. Maybe that will help heighten my interest some more and teach me some things.

This is me right now. I bought F1 2010 for PS3 at launch last fall and really liked it. I hadn't played a F1 game since the N64 days ( awesome game too, was it F1 Championship 2000 or something???). Anyways, I played the CRAP out of that game, but even so it never translated to me actually watching F1 races. This year I vowed to change that though, I missed the opener in Australia but I DVR'd the last two races and watched them. I enjoyed them both quite a bit, the last race in China was really good. I am now trying to learn more about the drivers/teams/type of racing, trying to really get into it. I am a knowledgeable but fairly casual NASCAR guy. I know all of the drivers/teams/tracks but don't watch ENTIRE races all that much. I do tune in for at least part of the race almost every week though. I also love drag racing (NHRA Lucas Oil Series) so I am one who likes other forms of auto racing, things a little more unique. I think I can add F1 to my list of Racing Leagues I enjoy now.

If I like F1 as much as I think I'm going to I will probably buy F1 2011 this fall.

Reminds me of an RC car skidplate and chassis.

I keep missing the races by a few hours and the forum posts over on iracing made it seem like the racing was somewhat exciting last race despite the lapped field

the racing was alright. It's Circuit de Catalunya, you'd have to plant landmines in the track to make it exciting.

That got to suck, having lapped traffic mess you up as you are on the way to win the Indy 500. He should have laid off the gas a bit more with the lead he had, he still would have won easily. He nearly won even with crashing.
