I run on Pro/Legend which means all assists off. I had the default veteran setup and I dominate races. I won at Daytona by 20 seconds in a 20 lap race. I was wondering how to make the AI more competitive. It just makes the game pointless to have no competition because have to try to not go to sleep in a 20 lap race. I did one time.

I'm having the same issue. Maybe you'll have to create more drag or something to reduce your speed at places like Daytona and Dega. Just a thought.Comment

Sorry the game is Nascar 09 for ps3. I thought about what you said. I turned traction control on and I didn't run away as fast. I thought the AI in 08 was really competitive. If you had any assists on and a default setup you would qualify 43rd all the time. Everybody b!tched about the game being so hard and ea tried to fix it and made it too easy.Comment

I wish ea would have put sliders in the game like they did in Madden and NCAA. I know you can make the setup slower but that just seems pointless knowing you could have won the race but didn't without changing the competition level.Comment

I read somewhere run 0% tape on the car. I don't really know how this works. The only thing with Adaptive Strength is you get behind on a pit stop you are nearly 10 mph faster than the field. It is pretty crazy.Comment
