well, i found some good news....THQ is making a sequel to Superfly called MX Unleashed....supposed to be even more realistic! also Activison will be releasing Mototrax with Travis Pastrana and it looks to be kinda realistic as well.....

any of you guys play EA's Supercross or 989's Supercross Circuit on the psx?

I played EA's Supercross and had some fun with it, that's for sure.

I just want a true racing game that does away with all the stunts and crap. MotoGP2 on dirt would be nice

THQ's new one was looking sweet at E3. They are using a modified verson of UnReal's "ragdoll physics" for the riders. Brutal!! Plus, a super open interface. We spent over 45 minutes in the THQ booth with just that game. It looks good.

I agree with you, 100 percent, on wanting a true motocross game.

But I wouldn't count on it soon. It seems that tricks-based motocross is getting more media attention these days due to the X Games, etc. I mean, Ricky Carmichael is more dominant in motocross than Schumacher is in F1, and Carmichael is barely a blip on the motorsports media screen, let alone the mainstream sports media screen.

Seems like game developers see the popularity of tricks-based motocross, the popularity of riders like Pastrana and the desire to build another Tony Hawk-like or SSX-like franchise, bingo, the dollar signs appear in their eyes. I don't think pure motocross has the same effect.

A shame, really.

Ricky Carmciahel is simply incredible....i love watching him race....he's got a degree of cockiness that i like as well....he should be more well known than he is as Paul said.....

Clay, you mentioned you played THQ's new MX Unleashed... i know it has official bikes but did it have official riders as well like Superfly did? i thought they signed a multi-year deal with RC but there was no mention of RC or any other riders in their press release.

Have to deflect this over to BK or someone else who was there. I remember the official bikes, but I don't remember the riders. I do remember him telling us the physics are really effected by the riders weight though. The physics logic was quite amazing even in like a 50% build.
