Yeah, I don't really see how this is newsworthy. People are just taking a twitter comment from Kaz Yamauchi out of context. Nobody's saying that it's delayed again, only that it's not done yet. I mean if the game was done already, wouldn't they be, you know...releasing it before November?

They aren't doing anything special with this game that takes almost 5 years. It's a freak'n racing game. Release it already, like 2 Forza's ago...
Tired of waiting on it!Comment

Re: Really Gran Turismo 5? I Mean, Really?
With the "will they or won't they" interior car debate still raging, I wonder if the delay is to ensure the standard cars have one.
That being said, I agree with the poster who said it's just a twitter comment. But I can't blame anyone for questioning it given the history of delays.Comment

Re: Really Gran Turismo 5? I Mean, Really?
gtplanet already has confirmation that the cockpit view is in all cars. I'm surprised it's still being debated http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=128532.
I'm sure it'll be a non-issue once it's released.Comment

Re: Really Gran Turismo 5? I Mean, Really?
I know how lame of a question this is going to be but as a basketball guy and a latent rally guy, I'm not super up-to-date on this stuff. Question: What about Gran Turismo 5 is taking so long? What are the features this game will have that other racing games have not had? Is it a matter of just having an overabundance of cars and spectacular looking graphics? Is the general consensus that this game will be worth the wait?Comment

There was ALOT missing from Prologue. Online capabilities and functionality stunk. You just get on, race some random people and that's it. No friends or setting up your own races or anything of that nature so obviously they are working on that aspect.
There is no damage in Prologue. You hit another car and you guys just bounce around like pinballs. They are including that. They are improving that and might be taking it up a notch past what Forza has. (Body panels ,doors etc may fly off, etc.)
There's a ton of other things the game was missing that they are putting into it so that takes time. They also are putting in NASCAR and talk is the actual NASCAR rules will be in the game. So it shouldn't be just run some tracks with a bunch of NASCAR cars and that's it. Same for WRC rally, (I don't know about the rules with the rally but they are including WRC rally and rally specific track(s) ). Close to one thousand cars and who knows how many tracks and you can see how the game can grow.
It seems they want to pack every drivers dream in the game and they want it to be on point. They even have Go Karts.Comment

Ok let's see. I can only compare this game to GT5Prologue and Forza 1,2,3.
