F1 2010. What assists r u using
I have everything turned off but the a b s and the driving line. what do you guys have on and off, and is it cheating online to have the assists on that i do in your opinion. I just dont want to be a cheeser, and want to race on the same playing field as everyone else. I havent won a race yet, but i am able to beat a few people on the two tracks i know so farGATOR BORN, GATOR BRED, AND WHEN I DIE I'LL BE GATOR DEAD.. GO GATORS!!!!Tags: None -

im still learning the track so i have to have the line on all the time so i can get setup for the next corner, i also find that the line makes me a cleaner driver b/c when im racing people hard, sometimes you forget to slow down, or try to dive it in there way harder than you shouldGATOR BORN, GATOR BRED, AND WHEN I DIE I'LL BE GATOR DEAD.. None for me. Manual gearbox and all.
I don't find that the lines help. You just stare at the line for your breaking point instead of learning things out of the environment to use as reference. I could see running your first few laps with the line on so you get an idea of where to setup for corners but after that it just seems a crutch to learning. The lines also take a lot away from the looks of the game.
ABS and TC are big advantages. I know if you are a really good driver you can go faster without than with, but most people aren't really good drivers. I know it takes me huge amounts of concentration when braking and acceletarting. If not, I lock up and go straight off or tail whip coming out of a corner.
I guess it is my cross to carry because I don't want to use assists but online it would be nice if everyone were on the same playing field - MINE.Comment

Re: F1 2010. What assists r u using
I started with ABS on medium traction control and auto transmission but have now gone to manual it's easy once you memorize what gear you need to be in for your corner's also over time you can just tell by the sound of the motor....have moved the traction control to low now as well and plan on going to off eventually then the most difficult IMO is turning of ABS but I plan on going no asist's just trying to train myself slowly...I'm also playing with a Logitech Driving Force Pro wheelComment

Oh hell, I'm not afraid to admit I'm not that skilled, LOL.
Brake assist OFF
ABS ON
Traction Control MEDIUM
Tranny AUTO
Racing line FULL
I do think I'll mete the driving line down to corners only this weekend though and give that a try. If not, I'll switch that sucka back on so fast it'll make your head spin. LOL
This is a very challenging game, IMO, and it demands full concentration every second on the track.
I sure get tired of 'invalidated lap/next lap' on TT's though, wish I could switch that off and just finish my lap for a time, even a bad one, without the penalty if I overshoot a corner (especially for no advantage).GO 'HAWKS!

I drive with everything off on tracks I know from Forza. On tracks I have no idea about, and I'm online, I use the breaking line just so I don't kill my competition by nailing them in the back when I should be braking. Offline I go about a good few laps with the braking line on just to get a flow on the track and then get rid of it once I have a feel of the track.
I also stay in cockpit view at all times. I have to say some of the cockpit views are VERY challenging in the game. I mean you really have to know where you are on the track and find some kind of mark other than the track with some of these cars. One car has a big blue antenna sitting dead center, lol.
This game is very addicting I must say. I'm still not pushing the cars hard though as I'm trying to get the right lines and stuff.Comment
